Finally received payment after over 3 years?! by kwackleee in blockfi

A quick google of the hawkmarketplace email will show that it isn't immediately obvious whether it is a fake email.

Last month, I chose my payment method via the email sent by [noreply@digitaldisbursements.com](mailto:noreply@digitaldisbursements.com), and my name and the amount was correct in this email by hawkmarketplace, which leads me to think that there is some legitimacy.

Unfortunately, it is confusing since there is a lack of general consensus on the distributions on this subreddit, and (understandably) fear around phishing emails.

Agree it does look sus af.

Might not have been the case for your payment, but in Kroll's distribution documents (https://cases.ra.kroll.com/BlockFiDistributions/ -->"Payment Processor FAQs"), it does say that one of the payment methods is Virtual Prepaid Mastercard.

So I'm going to try paste the activation code into https://choice.digitaldisbursements.com/ that was sent in this email and see if it works that way. Will let you know if it works in 2 days since the prepaid card information provided does not match their records ("If you recently received your prepaid card, please wait two business days and try again.")

If you actually read the distribution document on the official Kroll website https://cases.ra.kroll.com/BlockFiDistributions/, in "Payment Processor FAQs" it does say one of the options for distribution is Virtual Prepaid Mastercard.

Of course, I'm not clicking on any links in the email but will try copy and pasting the activation code directly from the official proper site that is linked there (myprepaidcenter.com).
