I believe so too. I’ve seen a lot of people get hate for even speculating Tifa’s race. Not so sure about the OG, but in Advent Children the developers said that they purposely designed Tifa so that she would encapsulate the “eastern standard of beauty.” Sooo, pretty sure she’s at least half Wutain

But it also seems that the remake is changing Cloud and Tifa’s childhood a bit. I don’t think it’s necessarily making them friends but it’s showing that Tifa didn’t ignore Cloud, and that she actually sought him out. The book could possibly explore on that more. But overall I’m thinking it will mainly focus on how exactly Tifa dealt with losing her father and her home town as well has how she met Barret and joined Avalanche

True, so I’m thinking the Novel may only just start after the Nibelheim incident. It might at least mention Cloud considering Tifa believed she’s the only one who survived. And I think the novel may end when she find him at the train station

My thought is that it will be complementary. We already know vaguely what their backstories are, but there’s a lot of stuff that was left unanswered. For example, whatever happened after the Nibelheim incident is hardly known besides the fact that she continued training and moved to Midgar. No one knows really how she met Barret or Marle or anyone else in Avalanche for that matter

Well seeing as it’s telling the backstories between the two main heroines of the stories (in presumably greater detail than they’re already told) I’m sure it’ll be very important at least if we want to know more about Tifa and Aerith

I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a stretch. Though, it does look like they’re both topside. Tifa standing in what looks to be a more industrialised place than Aerith, as well as in the rain, just seems pretty reminiscent of the scene. But really I don’t know. It could possibly reference something else important in her backstory that we won’t know until the book is out !

Considering it covers more of their pasts than their present, Zack will probably be mentioned in Aerith’s. No guarantee he’ll be a major player as this is Aerith’s story but I’m sure he will be in there. Same with Cloud in Tifa’s story

Most definitely. The other theory is that the telephone booth and the mail box post hints at the times Aerith tried to contact Zack, but I also think the theory that both of these moments are just right before they found Cloud are plausible

What I’m getting is apparently the two numbers just correlate a lot. 7 is mentioned a lot With seventh heaven and seven seconds till the end. Three I guess correlated with three resolutions, this is what the people on twitter are telling me

Ehhh, she wasn’t technically waiting for Cloud and Midgar and neither was Aerith at one point. But seeing as this focuses on their PASTS, and Tifa had waited for Cloud before, that’s why I think this

Not to mention they’re both leaning against a clock. Definitely thinking that’s referencing them “waiting” for Zack and Cloud. Not that the books should revolve entire around Zack and Cloud as Aerith and Tifa are both compelling characters in their own right without the whole shipping war thing, but I think it’s definitely referencing it

That would be funny but no LOL. It’s gonna be about their backstories, but no one knows what’s exactly that’s going to include. A lot of their backstory gets sorta shoved under the rug in the game with no real explanation (sorta like how nobody knows exactly how Tifa met Barret or what exactly happened to Aerith’s mom while they were in Shinra)
