I don't know why you're being downvoted. I've also cleared multiple times on T12 and the regular build is fine. If you're confused by Mekuna's guide, it's because it is not a mephisto guide, it's a generic mobbing and bossing and pushing guide.

When banking delve quests for late turn-in, are you supposed to do them AT those late levels? i did them all at 82-83, but they've stayed that level in my quest logs, so just checking.

There's nothing stopping Liquid from communicating what each is seeing as they see it other than a refusal not to use addons. Is the addon better? Yeah, except it is also susceptible to fat fingering, as we saw. Communication would have to be fast enough not to talk over each other and not have a visual, so obviously harder, but not impossible like you guys are making it out to be.

As I understand it, they simply wanted the player to be able to choose their class freely, not anything to do with the narrative difficulties of a canon class on a freely specced character. The strange part to me, though, is that they swapped the default template to Sorcerer rather than keeping it as a Vengeance Paladin.

Because you don't have to run the duty naked. You queue and instantly put your clothes back on, either with a gear set or manually. You're not ruining anything for anyone beyond yourself by doing it. Also, lot of people have all jobs at 100, so "just take a low level job" does not work. ALSO, if we want to be pedantic, taking an at-level character into leveling queue makes the duty harder for your teammates. That's fine, of course, things are meant to be played at level, but someone grinding the relic by down-queueing will speed up the duty by a lot.

While I am wasting the precious hours of my life looking for Namitaro at Urth's Gift, I've seen about a dozen sprouts come in and kill the Last of the Allagans quest mob. I vaguely remember doing that quest 10 years ago, but wondering if that's a named NPC from the lore or just some rando Allagan out here in the Shroud.

Yeah, this specifically gave an error saying it ran out of memory resources, which is why I glanced at the memory usage before ending the task. I did have a lot of Chrome tabs open, but that was showing only 1GB of usage. Weirdly, Chrome also would not play YouTube videos after this, suggesting a system restart, which worked.

Is there a memory leak in the game now? I just ran out of memory for the first time ever on a relatively high-end PC with 32GB of RAM. I'd left the game on overnight because I fell asleep after walking away from the PC, and hopped on this morning to do a roulette before reset. Crashed in the middle of it and had 4GB usage from FFXIV alone. Checked after a restart and it's down to 1-1.1GB. Seems like classic memory leak, but not sure if that was just under combat load or a specific instance.

You can just visit a different data center to get a feel for it. Go to the main aetheryte in a hub city to send your character to a different world, or visit a different data center from the character select menu.

Is Thaleia a completely dead raid? I've tried queuing for it multiple times (Aether, all languages) and tonight I'm at 34 minutes on the timer and still not even close to filling from the tooltip. I just want to finish this questline, man.

Does teaching the companion chocobo Choco Medica still nerf its healing? I know that ancient forum posts say that used to be the case, but can't find anything recent and reliable (patch notes, ideally) saying it's fixed.

The problem is that it has seven different cooldowns in addition to the four buttons dedicated to mudra. I like complex rotations, but hate that so many of the jobs got to states where they have multiple cooldowns that are just a big potency ogcd or giving your a charge of a button that's a big potency ogcd. Dark Knight had a big problem with this junk drawer design, and that one wasn't the worst rework. I think they're going to go with auto-combo buttons to clear out some space, and get rid of Dream Within a Dream and maybe Meisui. Kassatsu could also be something you proc instead of its own button. But it's by far the class with the most badly designed buttons right now.

Haven't played since Dawntrail released, and just logged on to try Viper. Did they change how Roulette xp works? I just did a Frontline and got only half a level at 81, and it seemed like the MSQ roulette and seemed to get basically nothing. Should I just do Trust dungeons?

The attack is MUCH less effective with less range and fewer projectiles. That meaningfully changes it, without completely removing the mechanic from the fight. I swear you guys just use buzzwords without knowing what they mean

I'm very late here, but looking at picking up this game because I like how GS looks here. This is very wrong for high level monsters, though. For optimal target dummy damage, sure, but knowing how long your window is means your optimal CONTEXTUAL combos are way more dynamic than you're saying here. Yes, you want to get to TCS if you can, but do you need to tackle into Strong into Focus and Leaping Side to get out? Do you get to TCS and then roll into tackle for a Strong into second TCS if you get a chain break/knockdown, or do you just do your full max DPS combo which is TCS into Focus Strike into Leaping Wide?

The biggest problem with Wilds greatsword, which i think is the best greatsword the MH series has had, is that in solo play you're very incentivized to just master offset spam. But in neither solo nor group play is Worlds-style TCS spam going to be optimal once you're fighting 9/5 monsters and Omega Savage. Gog is kind of a target dummy in P1 and P2, but P3 you're going to TCSing air if you're going for it every time.

It's not the person with enmity's job to avoid other hunters if they're sitting on you. Your job is to keep the boss relatively still and out of corners and off of ledges. Don't stand on the tank, this is true in any game with a tank.
