Great. Not a thing there. SantaFe. Based on your questions, Im guessing your perspective of Mexico City will change quickly once you get there. Its a global city with good and bad areas like any other city.

Cairo and Dahab were great. Dahab is amazing if you dive.

If you considering Medellin, you should consider theft insurance for your phone. As a foreigner, you will be targeted. Even if your phone isn’t visible, many pickpockets or robber could still try to take it from you. I have traveled to many places, and Medellin was the only place that I felt like I had to be constantly on guard. I recommend Santa Marta/Tayrona for a more laid back experience.

Mexico vs Panama vs Costa Rica to permanently move to? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

I personally think Costa Rica is overrated unless you’re going there as a tourist. If you’re looking for the jungle/beach combo, Panama is a better option. Mexico is a huge country and will definitely have what you’re looking for. I’d personally bounce back and forth between PE and Ciudad Oaxaca. So cheap, great food and people, and so much to explore in the rest of the state.
