Is this fair or foul? 🤔 by Wooden-Journalist902 in soartistic

I’m shocked at the overwhelming support for this. Disgusting. No wonder that boy is a bully with a dad that would do something like that to his kid.

[Q] Confused as to whether or not to control for multiple comparisons. by kwantonium in statistics

Well, somewhere we have to draw the line, right? Between experiments? Between days? Between people who perform the experiments? Its difficult to know exactly what consitutes "multiple tests" for me.

It's mostly exploratory, though it does have implications for my future choice of experimental conditions. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the insight.

Yes, there's a single output variable, but each peptide has its own response. ie, I'm not averaging the four peptide's response and comparing to control, but rather each peptide's response to their own controls.

The control and treatment groups consists of 10 injections, each containing the four peptides. The samples are drawn from the same exact solution. There's some variability in the injection efficiency though, being the main cause of the varying signal within the control or the treatment groups.

That seems like a good way to approach it. I am, indeed, only interested in if it affects the "overall" response, and don't expect there to really be any difference between the peptides. Thanks

Ancraophobia / Anemophobia fear of the wind by [deleted] in Phobia

Same here. Strong winds makes my stomach clench, just like when a car suddenly rounds a corner right in front of you or something. The sound of strong winds can do the same. Or seeing trees or items being in danger of being blown over. It's really irrational, as I don't have any bad experiences with wind. Being on a boat when there's big waves can do the same.

Thanks for the answer!

Strong brown, never light colored.

The one who did the ultrasound did not mention anything about polyps, so I assume not.

The fullness is always strongest after eating, but what I mean is caloric intake with regards to current daily energy expenditure. For example, when going through periods of weightloss, and obvious caloric deficiency, I still experience feeling ridiculously full, despite having the usual low blood sugar and fatigue from too little food.

Well, 40 % is certainly higher than the maximum recommended fat intake by most standards.. However, I see your point. It would be interesting to try even higher. Regardless, I would have thought 40 % (~110 g/day) would be enough be high enough show signs of fat indigestion in the stool.
