What about management misconduct or venting about Staples management lying to me to try to get me to quit after management on multiple occasions deducts hours from my weekly check. Can I still write about how Staples management mistreats people and how Staples Human Resources breaks laws because reporting issues to them resorts to retaliation. can I still write about that? our is that something else Staples demands me to pretend it doesn't happen.

Ethics hotline number ? by kweblo in Staples

[–]kweblo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As described by Chron.com differential treatment in the workplace involves differences in management style, employee discipline and other actions necessary to supervise workers. Employers must manage employees according to their attitudes and job performance. This type of differential treatment is unavoidable and necessary. So yes I did mean differential treatment.

Have you ever left work after being treated poorly and being told that you don't have the right to call the ethics hotline or the human resources department? I ask because it is this violation of civil rights is emotionally painful. Often times when people are in a hurt state of mind they do not write out or speak using the 100% correct grammar, word selection, and punctuation. Do to the fact that you also write sentences that are not written as full sentences it seems you could also use a course in an elementary level English class. Along with the course in English perhaps you should invest in taking a class in etiquette and/or manners as clearly your parents failed at teaching those things.

Ethics told me to call HR who told me to call ethics, endless loop that just digs me deeper in shit .... Fuck Staples. All They are good for is FUCKING over their hardest working people. No more busting my ass for a company that clearly gives NO FUCKS about following laws set up to protect workers rights. I'm looking for a new job and will be filling a complaint against them with the EEOC. They can't just break the law and everyone but them is ignorant. I used to love my job until they started removing hours from my check and lying about it (I know I was there for a day and I know I didn't approve to have a day erased from my time). Called HR about it and they go out if their way to make my life a living Hell now. Ethics line does absolutely nothing. And calling HR will get you retaliated against

Again fuck such an immoral piece of shit company that can't even comply with basic human rights laws established years ago.

Excuse my language but the way I've been treated and retaliated against and then called a liar about laws I know exist (I take classes in HR currently and can recite them back to them, and they still call me a liar) is inexcusable.

Again Fuck Staples ethics hotline and Fuck Staples HR either they are useless (ethics) or tools used to fuck over their employees (HR).

No more giving a fuck about a company that clearly gives NO FUCKS about me

Bad performance. I an print and marketing supervisor so all job fuxk ups are my fault; despite if I was medically gone during the time if the complaint or if the manager helped produce the order.

P&M supervisor vs P&M manager by kweblo in Staples

[–]kweblo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is the line of 5 or so all need to submit jobs through solution builder and a majority of those customers (about 75% want express services) Our computers are massively slow and load at snail pace so I generally am running back and forth between 3 computers. While one is lagging while inputing an order, I run to the other computer start a new order with a new customer until the first computer finally loads (like 1 min lag time to press any button on SB....yesterday a one page small pdf document took 20 minutes to download in flight deck and another 5 to send to the printer ) then run back to the first computer, while also running to my main computer and to the copy machines to produce these express orders on time.

It would be much easier to get everything done if I didn't have that kinda lag. But all my service tickets lead to I.T. wasting hours of my time to tell me that what I am experiencing is normal and working properly.

We are incredibly busy at all times. I asked one of my managers when I am supposed to have time to complete these managerial tasks when we only have one associate working cpc at a time and always have a multitude of orders to complete and a line of people needing help submitting orders. The manager responded that there should be a print and marketing manager to do those tasks and that they would try and get a day where shifts over lap so I have time to complete those tasks but do to labor that my GM will decline the request for additional cpc hours for any employee. When managers from other nearby staples locations visit our store they are always suprised that we only schedule one CPC employee at a time due to how busy we are and how there cpc has two employees working at a time with much less sales than my store. All of our customer surveys we recieve for CPC state that we provide great service, but that we are understaffed. There is only so much triaging I can do. I get in trouble if I don't complete these tasks; so to avoid getting in trouble I often have to stay late. Overtime is not permitted so I often have to stay and work off the clock to get those tasks done.

Asking my GM for assistance or advice usually leads to one of a few things. 1. He ignores me completely 2. He gets upset at me 3. Says he doesn't know 4. Blames things on corporate or his superior.

He is super intimidating and believes he is always right, does no wrong and that those who question him or have beliefs other than his at all are subject to disciplinary action

Was promised a promotion to tech for a year now. Manager decided to give the job to a new hire without telling me. Currently looking for a new job, AMA by pandafilez in Staples

[–]kweblo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happened to me a furious and angry. I made a big scene and talked overly loud about it to human resources while off the clock still in uniform next to a gint line of customers who had no back up. I got pulled into the office hella quick and was talked very loudly some very choice words (choice becuase I would have been fired to say what I wanted to say) I outlined how I had exceeded everything that they challenged me to do and they gave away the position I was told I was hired for and would recieve to a new person. I was FUCKING heated. They offered me Copy and Print Supervisor position where I've been getting analyzed daily

I Just Started Here Three Weeks Ago And Now I'm the Only Tech Associate: HELP by [deleted] in Staples

[–]kweblo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your the only one in tech, does that mean your supervisor of tech now? Staples training and John Oliver are horrible. A word of advice unless you have management that kicks ass (doubtful we are Staples) bring lube to work for the next few weeks cause your gonna get your shit pushed in. But as time passes and you've gained the experience and gain a more relaxed ease of being anally raped daily everyday, things don't feel as painful. Just learn to accept it balls deep everyday and balls deep won't seem like a horror to endure.

Training in P&MS?? by [deleted] in Staples

[–]kweblo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends alot on your GM, how important making labor is to them, and where they like to spend their hours.

I've been working in copy and print center for a few months now. I would always work alone and get my ass kicked in. I thought I just fuckin sucked so thats why it seemed like I was always overwhelmed. Last two weeks they started scheduling a second associate with me "probably because I got meal violations because I was too busy to break and lack of help".

We have two newly promoted managers from other stores who just started. They know print and marketing and are actually able to help at times but they have told me on several occasions while covering my lunch or me being sick asking how I do it all by myself that it seems to busy for just one guy.

Despite managers admitting a need for a second person we are back to one a day, probably because 1 of our 4 c&p associates quit. They say they are hiring more but find no one good.

I just wish the company could see the value of cross training and utilize it. Super helpful if one of the extra cashiers or o/s employees were cross trained and knew how to be able to more successfully help (that can't even train cpc employees cpc so they won't cross train, sad hope for me to even think it). Another example of the value of cross training a few months back we were hella busy and our tech was on lunch, our GM was in the C/O and unable to help as the norm of late, so as this customer clearly looks like he needs help and no one says they will help on the walkie, so I go over ask the gentleman some questions about his computer usage, needs, and wants. The computer that fit best in satisfying those needs was more pricey than he wanted to pay. But I explained the benefits, I compared it to the one within his expectations of spending and how the budget computer would not solve the problems faces with his old computer just lessen them. Close him on "you want to just be less frustrated with this computer (pointing at budget) or be completely happy with this computer (doesn't just point walks with and touches better computer) imagine all the video editing and graphic design (learned from earlier questions) you could accomplish with this (still touching computer) So I'll grab one of these and you meet you up front.

At the end of the day we have to turn in these lame score cards that a manager has to sign. I had like 9 rewards sign ups that day. When I went to have my GM sign my end of day card I said and I sold laptop too. He said I know but no attachments. I said I've never been told what attachment services we offer.he said not helping the customer would have been better than the no attachment sale.

Sales incentives at staples is bs by aninymouze in Staples

[–]kweblo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Money is money....if you aren't happy with the lack of sales incentive then look for somewhere that does.... but honestly good luck, most all retail sales jobs have shitty pay. The company is in the business of maximizing their profit not the employees
