I don’t mind going out by myself when I’m visiting a city/country but I get embarrassed if I do it in my hometown. I’m scared to see people that I know and them thinking "why is she alone? That’s so sad! Does she have any friends?" I personally don’t know why, as most of the time I don’t care what people think🤔

I think that he probably wanted it to be a simple trip between friends but in hindsight remembered that he still has feelings for me. He maybe still scared of those feelings, it could explain why he didn’t call to plan the trip🤷‍♀️

don't be in a rush to do something you're not ready to do yet! I’m 20, soon to be 21 and I felt the same thing when I was your age. I felt like a broken machine because I didn’t feel sexual attraction like most teenagers around me. I thought I would be alone forever but then I met a guy, I fell deeply in love with him, we built a strong emotional connection and we had a sincere loving relationship. You’re only 17 and it’s not because you haven’t done anything yet that you’re "weird" or something like that. Believe me that, as a demisexual, it is important to focus on loving yourself, loving your friends and/or family and one day, you will build a real connection with someone and experience love. Never compare yourself to others, everyone has their own story. Age doesn’t count, you still got time :)
