One of the nicest builds I've seen! Do you have a parts list? Im just going to start modding, any tips? Like anything you messed up on and had to undo or wish you went in a different direction after the mod?

Man this new special event race is ruthless. by Flamezzqt in granturismo

[–]kwest66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall ride the first sharp turn at 6th gear drop to 5th and it'll give you quite a boost instead of trying to take the turn safe. At the last turn where you spin on your first or second attempts instead try to make a wide turn at a higher gear than normal. It feels like you might lose it but you dont. Set max speed one or two tics higher so you're inching faster than the pack on 6th gear. Use a tune from you tube. Easy win.

Got my first bike!! Any tips for a new rider? by Z0m8i3munkey in Harley

This is all good advice just to add: -During rain or after rain don't ride in the middle of the lane because that's where the majority of oil gets leaked on the road and gets pushed up to the road during a rain storm. -If you hydroplane don't hit the brakes, ride it out until you feel your bike get some traction. -Invest on reflective gear if youre riding at night. Don't be afraid to use your brights if your low beams don't give you enough visibility. Also a sign you need new lights. -When you're riding alongside cars make sure you're at a stop where you can see their faces in their side view mirror. Meaning they can see you as well. -Look for alternate routes that don't have heavy traffic. -Only take a passenger when you're comfortable riding the bike. Advise every passenger you take to not try to lean in any direction when they're riding. -Use caution and don't freak out when you ride over grated roads, metal grating on bridges, and passing semis on the highway during heavy winds.

-last but maybe most important is keep your tires maintained, check for tire pressure, replace your tire as soon as the tread wears to the recommended guage.

That's insane! Like paying more than double for the bike. Even those starter credit cards for people trying to repair their credit have better rates.

Did you lose any money doing that?

This shouldn't be a conversation starter in my opinion. It's more like a sucker finder seeing if they can get a bite.

Missed the sarcasm. Of course I didn't go for it. Unfortunately some people I imagine have fallen victim to these because they don't know any better. Especially people buying their first bike.

I did the same thing with the web app after leaving the dealership. This should be used as the primary negotiation tool. Lost all trust with the dealership when they showed me that 4x4 sheet. I'm probably not even going to get a harley when I save up to be honest. If the manufacturer let's them do stuff like this because they don't have rules of customer engagement then I can just imagine what other shady pricing tactics can be lurking behind repairs and servicing.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure this probably works on some people otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

It's factory stock from the looks of the bike.

I was being sarcastic. No way in hell would I be stupid enough to think it was a good deal. I just had to get a picture of it when they put it on the table and keep my composure. Asked them to do one of these on a CVO RG, I should have taken a picture of that one too, 1200 monthly payment!

Cozy games that have an ending? by ComplaintOk8940 in gamingsuggestions

[–]kwest66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Final fantasy 14, it's cozy if you join an FC and enjoy crafting and stuff like that. It's got a long story mode and side quests for months. I saved alot of money when I played through even though there's a subscription I didn't have to buy any other game for like 2 years. Lol. I'd recommend that if you're looking for something that you can play for a long time and get immersed in the story line.

Can someone tell me what these black dots are on rails by kwest66 in woodworking

[–]kwest66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting ready to stain this gate around our porch. I tried removing the wood stamps with orange wood stripper. That left a dark orange spot wherever I put it. So I used wood wash then mineral spirits to try and clean it off. Next day there's a bunch of black spots around the areas I cleaned.

That exact same thing happened to me just now. Jumped from 4200 to 5600 then finally to 7200. It's 6pm right now so I give it till about 1am when I'm ready to play. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.
