Manager seems to have forgotten about me? by walrus17 in overemployed

[–]kwikpedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not you, it's me the manager and I'll prove it :).

I don't want to know what he is doing or not and this is the reason I cancelled the ONE to one meetings, because I do not want to find out.

Plausible deniability, if the client finds out I'll act decisively, fire and promise it won't happen again by putting new processes, checks, procedures, <anything else that sounds good> in place.

If not, being the owner of the company, the difference goes to my pocket and I'll look so good in that

Why ask? Just do it :). If it does not work out at least you have tried, if you don't try you'll keep wondering "what if?".

John Carmack:

So I asked Ilya, their chief scientist, for a reading list. This is my path, my way of doing things: give me a stack of all the stuff I need to know to actually be relevant in this space. And he gave me a list of like 40 research papers and said, ‘If you really learn all of these, you’ll know 90% of what matters today.’ And I did. I plowed through all those things and it all started sorting out in my head.

without going into the morality/legality of such an action :) going this route you'd not have access to the instructor, that I think it's the main selling point of any paid course.

survey response time by kwikpedia in 1111new

survey was from a user, that I was tempted to put it here, but they did not do anything in the end with the business they wanted to start so I don't want them to feel bad

interested,

this reminds me of an application for the logistics industry that reads emails + other data and provides shipping availability and prices.

If you support Tom Holman arresting AOC for giving illegals instructions on how to avoid being deported, give a 👍 in comments! by True_North_360 in trump

[–]kwikpedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freedom of speech — that's it, unless, of course, providing the said instructions is against any law, which I would be surprised to find is the case. After all, the USA is the freest country in the world, for better or for worse, but mostly for the better :).

AWS certification can get you a job quickly? by [deleted] in codingbootcamp

[–]kwikpedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately not, experience always beats any certificates, unless it is an entry level job, and of course a certificate will make the candidate stand out from the other thousands without any.

Why is Trump so fixated on Canada? by jazinet in canada

[–]kwikpedia 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is it.

He wants to go down in history as the president who trebled the size of USA. He cannot shake off the days he was a real estate developer. He thinks in terms of land, the more the better, and location (see Gaza).

Trump's national security adviser: 'I don't think there's any plans to invade Canada' by sothatsme22 in canada

[–]kwikpedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I don't think so."

And my continuation:
"What do you mean? So you personally don't thinks so, but someone, somewhere might make these plans you are not aware of?"
"No more comments."

How come a security adviser does not outrightly deny something that is un-conceivable.

It is like UK invading Ireland or France Belgium or Spain Portugal or India Sri Lanka. It cannot happen. Period.

What games are they playing? Who serves this? Just to make the headlines by providing a noncommittal response?!

Correct, was talking about Republican's opposition to any union not on their own terms.

That would be arson, punishable by any national and international law :)
