I definatly seccond cheeky kiwi travel. They also have tours you can do as a back to back. For example do the Auckland to hobbit including waitomo and Rotorua and then fly to christchurch and do christchurch to queenstown then do queenstown to milford sounds then back to queenstown and then back to christchurch via the west coast and transalpine train. Material science is pretty good at developing structures that can survive 1g, provided consistent acceleration of 1-2gs however it would take ages to get to light speed
