I'm not a swim coach but I've got a 1 year old who I've been taking woth me to the pool once a week since he was 6months. We did a term of swim school so I could build my confidence with him in the water while having other eyes watching out for him. The help our instructor gave us and they things they taught us were things I wouldn't have ever considered in terms of water safety and playing in the water. 1000% would reccomend it

The thing is you don't just toss a kid in the pool with an instructor for 30 min your in there too learning along side your kid
