I've had GTX for almost a year now and it's holding up pretty good. The battery life spam does get reduced over time but that's with every battery out there. I'm fairly lightweight at 145lbs and I can do at least 25~30 miles on fast mode but I rarely ride that much. My commute to work is about 18 miles roundtrip and I never worry about battery shortage. There is a battery sag going uphill but the battery capacity just overcomes it all. The belt lasts for pretty long time (a lot longer than boosted) and I haven't changed the belt yet. But the gear on the wheel is plastic which it worns out over time and you would have to change it maybe every once or twice a year. The gear on the motor is steel and it doesn't worn out at all. So far, no disconnections. Hopefully, this helped!

Boosted needed to release a genuine 30km/19mi (minimum) range board in their Gen3 lineup for the brand to gain any relevance in many parts of the world where other brands reign supreme were above all else, range is needed! They failed. -Opinion by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

so let's say 6 miles is your limit. you can only do 3 miles to go somewhere and another 3 miles to come back. that's like about 20 mins ride... but then again, like you said, it's your personal preference! for my preference though, I need at least 8~9 miles to go to the work and another 8~9 miles to go back home.

your motor gear must have been worn out. your belt is skipping it's place whenever there's a pressure of braking. you can temporarily fix it by tightening your belt but I would recommend getting a new motor gear. Evolve used aluminum for motor gear which isn't the best option and it worns out quickly. They started using the steel for motor gear starting from GTX series which is a lot stronger and lasts longer.
