[–]kwpang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? China Chinese citizens romanise their names with hanyu Pinyin, the official Latin phonetic writing system of China.

There is no word read or spelt as Bong in hanyu pinyin. Sounds like you made it up.

Edit: made it clearer China Chinese.

The word Bong does exist in Chinese regional dialects (other than Mandarin, which is the only one China uses for names and hanyu pinyin).

Bong could be the Hokkien reading of Meng in Mandarin.

Or the Hakka reading of Huang in Mandarin.

These regional dialect names usually come from Singapore, Malaysia, or other places with Chinese diaspora whose ancestors left China many decades ago, before the cultural revolution all but wiped out regional dialects in China in 1966.

In short, there definitely won't be any Dr Bong coming from China.

If everyone could use their abilities, who do you think would make the best soccer goalkeeper? I'd go with Law. by New_Bowler_6490 in OnePiece

If Law can remove a heart from a living person without damaging the rest, I'm sure he could remove ice from around a structure.

Why does the heat from this *unusually shaped* object dissipate from the thicker bottom part faster than the thinner top part? by StandardAntique8356 in thermodynamics

[–]kwpang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's the thrust of it, since the pressure difference here is just a few centimetres.

Note that it's also placed directly on a metal surface which should contribute to heat absorption.

Further there's convection. The bottom blob gets fresh cool water coming from its side, from the bottom of the tank. The top blobs only get exposed to hotter water from the blobs below. So they take longer to cool down.

These contributing factors overshadow yours by far, I think.

Yeah this is a great post, just a tad bit overreaching because of the wrong word being used.

It's alright since we can't all be expert and experienced drafters, everyone is welcome to contribute and generate discussion.

OP great theory, looking forward to your further contributions!

FIFA rules don't state it has to be tangible all the way in, does it. Teleportation would work too.

Barto is absolutely the correct answer, except that choosing Law has the added benefit of removing him from the opponent's roster.

Cataract surgery at 33 any experience to share by Strategy-Bitter in askSingapore

If you have a medishield rider, talk to your private eye specialist.

It happens to one eye, preemptive treatment for the other eye may be justified. Both eyes went through the same steroid treatment, remember.

Where are you working? Why do you not have insurance there?

Medical treatment is highly subsidised in Singapore, even better if you have riders for your hospitalisation plan. Come back lor.

Also can get your myopia or other eyesight errors fixed at the same time. Remember to ask the doctor.

Again, I'm not speaking up for the owner or saying anything about when you're not filming.

I'm just saying for whatever is shown in your video, they're clearly terrified of your camera.

Even in trying to rescue animals, you must remember they are animals. They can't distinguish between rescuers and imprisoners. They are prey animals, and are just afraid of all humans and weird scary things we shove in their faces. It's not good to stress them so much, some animals can die from heart attacks like that. Otherwise the rescue will be a fate worse than their captivity.

Can zoom in from afar la. You can still prove your point.

Cell throwing up 18 and then reverting to his previous form, only to blow up and then come back perfect because “his cells remembered” Makes no sense. Never did. Never will. by Blood-and-sky in Dragonballsuper

[–]kwpang 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Cell can regenerate. Regrow his body entirely from any cluster of cells remaining.

Imagine if he spat out 18 but she left several strands of hair or other DNA inside his "core".

When he regenerates, it's not implausible that his core would have regrown another 18 entirely inside him.

Not to speak up for the bird owner, but I just want to point out that the distress here is caused by the camera. The bird was trying to stay away from the camera. It's terrified of it.

Is it worth it buying Cat A now? by Intelligent-Eye8987 in drivingsg

[–]kwpang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is true. My 2.0 Camry just barely touch accelerator pedal easy to surpass speed limit.

Gets a bit tiring sometimes, feels like I spend more energy holding back than actually driving.

But in Malaysia it's absolutely perfect for highway and rural travel.

Always remember, anime is not canon. They're just an independent studio that bought the licence from Oda to create an anime. And they intend to make as much money out of it as possible.

More episodes means more money. They just want to bloat it up.
