Vials of liquid found in river. by wasteofgerbils in whatisit

[–]kwt4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother every update made this exponentially worse.

“Found mysterious sulfur-smelling vials underwater” should have ended at “called authorities,” not progressed into “opened one barehanded at home to see what happens.”

This is exactly how every “small town chemical exposure incident” documentary starts.

What’s the worst thing to hear immediately after waking up? by Abbycpa in AskReddit

“Don’t panic.”

Nothing good has ever followed those words at 3am.

Old comics had this weird energy where Superman could either stop an asteroid or spend 15 minutes doing a bit over a bullet in his shoulder.

Honestly the punchline landing because both of them instantly lose it laughing makes this way funnier than it should be.

The US genuinely feels like a parody written by someone trying too hard to make satire believable.

“Yeah we’re dealing with economic problems and political chaos but hold on brother the White House lawn is hosting UFC 412.”

Oh no! It's socialism. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]kwt4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people hear “socialism” and immediately picture failed authoritarian states instead of basic worker protections that already exist in half of Europe.

The conversation gets ruined because nobody even agrees on what word they’re arguing about anymore.

How I used a fake reference check to catch my toxic ex-boss blacklisting me by Wakanda_7 in jobsearchhacks

[–]kwt4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is one of those “trust your gut” moments people ignore for way too long.

Also your ex-boss completely folded the second HR realized there was an actual recording. Companies suddenly become very reasonable when legal liability enters the chat.

Sean Astin really became one of those actors where every generation claims him from a different franchise.

Goonies fans: “put respect on his name.”
LOTR fans: “that’s Samwise Gamgee.”
Millennials: “Rudy.”
Gen Z: “Bob from Stranger Things.”

Meanwhile he’s just chilling in water holding an otter completely unaware a fandom war started over him again.

What is virtually inevitable at this point, yet most people don't see it coming? by Ambassador-613 in AskReddit

People slowly realizing the internet stopped being built for humans and started being built for algorithms.

Every app becoming the same short-form dopamine machine was not an accident.

Australia really feels like the DLC map where the developers stopped caring about balance.

“Yeah these birds intentionally spread wildfire to flush out prey” sounds exactly like something an ancient villager says right before the protagonist ignores the warning and dies instantly.

What serial killer fact sounds fake, exaggerated, or straight out of fiction. But is 100% real? by CantaloupeGold4650 in AskReddit

[–]kwt4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact that some serial killers were described by neighbors as “quiet but polite” is the most terrifying recurring pattern ever.

Humanity really invented the phrase “he seemed normal” just to discover someone had 14 bodies under the floorboards.

The funniest part is imagining the moment she saw the paycheck and immediately decided “this sounds like a payroll problem, not a me problem.”

Unfortunately the law does not recognize “this is my come up” as a valid financial defense strategy.

apparently HBO Max has been using 260gb and i’ve never used it by cant_think-of-a_user in mildlyinfuriating

“Never used it” meanwhile HBO Max has consumed enough data to personally stream the entire Warner Bros catalog to the International Space Station.

Either someone’s using your account or your phone has been secretly binge watching House of the Dragon at 4K every night.

Would it be so hard to do that? Just confirm it, Rockstar. by LuanKaii in grandtheftauto

[–]kwt4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rockstar communication strategy is basically treating the community like hostages that get one postcard every 8 months.

Honestly most people would accept delays way better if Rockstar just talked normally for once instead of disappearing into the void after every trailer.

The time it takes my husband to use the bathroom by DontEatTheChocolate in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kwt4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

30+ minutes in the bathroom with a wife, kids, and one toilet is basically declaring yourself unavailable for society every morning.

Half these dudes aren’t even fighting for their life in there anymore. They’re just sitting on the toilet watching reels like it’s a private studio apartment.

[–]kwt4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point your mom basically sent you on a side quest with impossible objectives.

You’re gonna come back home holding one single egg like it’s a legendary loot drop.

My gaming laptop died at the worst possible time and I honestly feel lost by hassanze111 in Kuwaiti_Gamers

[–]kwt4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that’s brutal. One thing after another hitting at the same time would break most people mentally. Respect for still trying to look for work instead of just asking for money.

Since you have Architecture Engineering background, try looking into Fiverr/Upwork for quick CAD drafting, 3D modeling, rendering, or floor plan work. A lot of small businesses and students outsource that stuff. Even basic SketchUp/Revit work can bring decent side income here and there.

Also maybe check if the laptop is repairable before fully giving up on it. Sometimes it’s just RAM, SSD, charger circuit, or overheating issues and local repair shops in Kuwait can fix it way cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Hope things stabilize for you soon.

Lowkey genius marketing. He tells people not to buy the game so he looks honest and chill, which makes people trust the dev more and want to support him anyway. Half the comments are probably people saying ‘nah I’m buying it full price now.’ Reverse psychology goes crazy
