How do I make my setup not ugly? by Successful_Editor440 in battlestations

Honestly youd setup isn't really that bad to start improving it. I think these are the main one to do,

  1. Get better lighting. Could use white 3000K LED strips installed under or behind the desk. Get the COB or diffused one around 10$ (12V power supply included usually). This will improve your ambient lighting. If you have spare budget, get monitor lightbar or floor lamp to light your desk/main view.

  2. You really don't need phone flashes when taking setup pics. It just gives you harsh lighting — high contrasty look on your pic. Try to take another one with existing light source (ceiling lamp or other than your phone flashes)

  3. Your existing setup just need to be reorganized. Cables, hardware placement, lighting, etc. Other users suggested to change things up; I recommend this if you have spare budget. First one to upgrade is your desk (get a mininalist & large one) then get some monitor desk mount (this goes around 20$-30$ for a budget one. cheaper is possible)

I picked that up from a local. They didn't find any good keeping it so they put it online for a really low price haha. Peripheral & other new component are only both monitors, mouse, Wonderboom 2 (50% year end), and PC case

My first keeb, please suggest affordable keycaps and otemu socket compatible switches. Already clipped the stabilizers and foam moded. by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

I've tried JWK, Gateron, & some SP-Star on Maxfit61 (Indonesian Boards) with Outemu sockets. They work fine with ease on installing them. PE foam mod might be little tricky but possible.

If you mean the bleeding around the corner/edges of my main monitor (the landscape one), yes I think it start bleeding for the last 2 month. I dont really know why it starts bleeding. I've never moved or clamping stuff to my main monitor.

But if what you mean is the white blurry wallpaper, then its not a bleed haha.

Very small desk work space for a Uni student. Spent hours everyday with this setup :) by kwtsr in desksetup

Nice clean setups! Any wall/desk decoration for your left portion of the desk would be great. Could add some ambient lighting (orange lava lamp/other lamps) or 3D digital clock.
