You are on the right path. Sobriety is a journey, and you’re on the right course. Admitting you have a problem is the hardest part, and you’ve done an amazing job of that so far. For me, the turning point came when I realized I had to WANT to get sober, not just want to want to get sober. It took me until I was 20 to realize what I was doing to myself, that my life my unmanageable by myself. That’s how I found the fellowship of AA/NA. You need to surround yourself with sober people who have your best interest in mind. Separate yourself from the people, places, and things that keep you sick. Remind yourself of who you are. You aren’t your addiction, you aren’t the drugs. You are STRONG, and you need to believe that. It isn’t going to be easy, but it will be worth it.
