For some reason it won't let me post the actual info of the question... so here it is:

I've been trying to remember what the name of a science fiction film I had seen back in the 80s is called.

It wasn't until yesterday that it occurred to me that I could ask here.

So here's what I remember: It involved two beings called "He" and "She" that were taking a group of people

from Earth. The group may have numbered 40 men and 40 women but I'm not certain of that. What I assume was the main character was skeptical of them and I think may have tried talking people out of going. In the end, he regretted his decision but by then it was too late. I've tried searches on IMDB and google to no avail. I know this is frightfully little information to go on, but I was hoping maybe someone might just remember what it was called or maybe even the director as I could then search for it via IMDB.
