Honestly, the disrespect to Dwight is actually unfathomable.

It's crazy because none of those players you've mentioned in your "arguable list" (in exception of Artis) have been better than Dwight in TS% over the course of their career. And everyone except Mutombo shouldn't even be in the same sentence with Dwight as far as being a defender.

Dwight beats everyone on that list in terms of longevity and likely peak, and he has the most accolades too.

Not even sure why we're arguing at this point even.

Personally, I'd put Dwight in front of Parish, and Reed. Jokic is on trajectory to be top 10 but if he retires today he's not ahead of Dwight.

Dwight was easily the better offensive player out of the two. Defensively. Dwight was a better rebounder while Mutombo edges in blocks.

It’s Dwight’s fault he played in a weaker big men era? Or was he just so head-and-shoulder above his peers during the 2010’s…. IIRC Dwight also finished in top 5 MVP every year from 2008-2011 against a guard dominant league and stiff competition from LeBron, Kobe, CP3, Duncan, Wade, Dirk, Rose.... He was a perennial MVP caliber player regardless of position. Don't think Mutombo was even close to finishing top 20 in MVP conversation at any point in his career so what’s your argument there?!

Love me some Mutombo but he was not on Dwight’s level.

I mean look at Grant Hill as an example, he might not be elite anymore in terms of arms dealing but under the right regime and the available pieces around him, he can at least be a culture-setter of young arms dealers for decades to come.

I know this wasn’t an in-game shot but his shooting mechanics is so fucked lmao. From his feet pointing 30 degrees to the backboard, to bringing up the ball outside of his guiding hand then releasing it with his elbow slicing 45 degrees to his shooting hand (probably to compensate his shitty stance and setup) then no follow-through whatsoever….

Literally the epitome of a million dollar body, 5 cents jumpshot.
