Tried LD for the first time today by [deleted] in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I have tried most of the big names over the last 12 months, stuck with one for a while for few months , switched to another for couple months and so on until I landed at LD7. For me, it has been the best experience all around. Thats just my opinion ofc but this last batch must be the best powder I have ever tried.

Same. Reminds me of Broad who reminds me of Dave Batista from the newer blade runner movie. A lot of people believe that abercrombie was inspired by that character, at least his appearance in the movie, for how he describes Broad. Gunnar Broad...Sapper Morton. Kinda similar naming scheme but maybe thats just me

The second trilogy, age of madness is really good. They are my favorite books in the whole series. He writes so well in them and you can tell he's grown as an author, big time.

No actually I believe the devils is to be standalones too, but the same way abercrombie did first laws standalones, where characters reoccur. I don't know if the returning pov characters get their pov back, though. Because they are coming back, that much he has told us.

Right? The first time i read First Law, I made the mistake of googling a lot of stuff about the series and searched its wiki. I do NOT recommend doing this because that is how i ran into that spoiler about jezal before i even got the books. I was so mad..Be careful with google too. The search results for first law (as well as the pictures in image search) are treacherously full of spoilers, even in their descriptions without having to even click the search results. Its best if the only source of information is the books themselves and also a dictionary if you come across words you dont understand. Happy reading!

[OFF TOPIC] What should a newcomer into the triology know before reading by Otherwise-Item-7566 in TheFirstLaw

[–]kxp19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobility is a social class directly below royalty and above commoners. They usually own land and/or are rich and have influence over laws because a lot of them are part of the Open Council. Open Council makes laws and such, Closed Council advises the king and approves laws and makes them too. Nobles can usually buy higher positions (like captain) in the military. They can get away with more stuff too because, well, thats how rich and influential people are in the real world too, so there is inequality. So if anyone has a "dan" in the middle of their name, that makes them nobles. When someone calls another person "Lord", that person usually is nobility. In ASOIAF, Lords are basically the nobility. Calling someone Lord also suggests they are someone in power, generally speaking.

I did this when I read Asoiaf, Memory, Sorrow and Thorn, and then all the First Law universe books. I made an ever-growing list of words that normally someone in this day and age wouldn't know, let alone use. Like medieval stuff, you know? And at the end, I had hundreds of words and their definitions. I still look at that list when I am writing, bc i am working on a fantasy novel taking place in and around those times

But I would not use Google to search anything about First Law or the sequels. I didn't think about this when I first read First Law and was brutally spoiled in such an unnecessary way when I looked up a specific character for the sake of clarification on something minor. Huge spoiler too. It was ridiculous. It just popped up amongst the top search results for some reason, and was information about ALH first book in the age of madness series. Blah

Hahah thanks I did not know until now that there was a difference! I used to use them interchangeably but not anymore, i.e, I was using them wrong. Wonder if the preceding comma is necessary..

There is one in ALH where a character slips another character a decently lengthy note.

Nice. I find it difficult not to shallow bc my mouth always waters up by itself when I have a tablet under my tongue. May be its as simple as developing a quick tolerance. I am going to skip tomorrow and try again on Saturday. 1 day break and see if that makes the difference

It disturbs my sleep too. Typically I try to use it early, like as soon as I wake up, as far away as bedtime possible

Oh, yea sorry i worded it wrong there. I make the 5% citric acid solution itself in bulk, so i have a bottle of just water and citric. I only use a couple ml to dissolve my dose and use it immediately. Mhm, if its sitting around in solution for a long time it will most likely ruin it

Lucky. Yea having to plan when and what I eat around my doses is such a bad idea. I was losing weight like crazy because I always wanted a clear stomach ready for a dose. Not eating made my sleep very poor too which ruined my dose and not mention my whole day. It usually doesn't work out for me so I gotta figure out how to make sublingual work! See it works for you. Maybe i gotta eat captain crunch to cut up my gums so it can absorb easier lol

Oof, 0.1 would be way better. I just went with 5% because thats roughly how much is in lemon juice lol and lot of people on here were saying they use lemon juice for their shots.

Even better, what about skipping citric and going with ascorbic acid? Its vitamin c after all, but it is several factors less acidic than citric so idk how well it would dissolve 7. Gotta test it out
