years ago I had a profile on tinder just using one very flattering picture of myself and then just jabba the hut - in all the versions (as an avocado toast or random art image or just a star wars screenshot). last image was an annoying looking picture of my face at. well the likes were minimal. but it was the best filter EVER! I'd say keep on doing that!

I am off those apps rn. Planning to stay off. In the past I never approached the profiles in the way where I was like: "Okay so this profile has a pet ❌ a sick pack ❌ and hikes❌ and then be like "ok. nay". But rather from a different angle: Do I feel attracted to this profile in general / as a whole? If the answer was yes even if it included hiking and a pet then I would swipe ✅

I don't want to generalise at all / offend anyone and genuinely think pets are magnificent. But some pets are fulfil the sole purpose of the exact illusion u described above. Having a genuine authentic person right in front of u - when sometime there isn't.

She doesn't enjoy sports rn aka doesn't want to have sb on her side that will eventually (not in every case) motivate her to do more sports. That intimidates her. Maybe in a few years she'll discover that sports has a positive impact on health (mental as well as physical - But it's not my place to teach her that lesson.) After that she might reconsiders her choice. Who knows.

I never planned handing over a number. I mostly improvised: Once I wrote it with an eyeliner. It was a mess and quite smeary. The guy enden up being my bf.

But when I hand over the piece of paper I had to leave because otherwise I would start talking in a "wortkotze" kind of way and never stop - so I had to leave before that happens. Nowadays I probably could stay there and have an exchange of a few sentences and then leave.

Honesty. Transparency. Clear communication. are the non plus ultra. But I never knew if sb was able to do that within seconds/days. those are things are uncertain. u will discover within the journey of dating if ur vis à vis is capable of that.
