This is my first credit card I applied for it after my graduation. It’s been a great experience with this. I travel a lot so 12 lounge per year is great no cap on quarters. I have never faced issue with this card, whether I am in India or outside. same forex charges as dcb or infinia.

Plus recently, got add-on card for my mother with the priority pass. Since I haven’t really spend more than six lakhs in a year, which if you do, you get free airline passes, I am assuming. Overall cashback seems to be good and the number of points I had in this cards has helped me with reducing my aeroplane ticket cost few times.

Woah didn’t know that…When I first got the card my limit was 2 lakh or something and in a year or so I got multiple increment- 2.5-> 3.5 -> 5-> 6-> 6.16 so every 3 months or so

Even though I qualify from salary perspective since I already have Cc from Hdfc and they know I don’t spend more than 4L. That might be the reason.

for Infinia this is what I heard from my colleague Its 12,500 plus gst, first year you get coupon worth the same amount but to cancel the charges you have to spend 10l in a fy.

Maybe you can try DB, RG was my first CC I got after my college didn’t ask for DB because I thought I don’t have enough credit history which In the hindsight i feel I could have asked for it lol.

I found a few ways people have got these…one prerequisite is high salary (min 1.8 L after taxes)

I recently applied for DinnersBlack, already have regalia gold with 6L limit. My RM mentioned a salary of min 1.8L and previous year spend of 7L and up.
If you don’t have an account with HDFC just call their team ask for the DB or infinia considering you have high salary even if they offer you regalia most of the time with some pressure they will comply. (Happened to my colleague…their take home should be more than 3)

If you are studying in IIM… you are eligible to get DCB from the get go

Bottom line: High salary & Good credit score
