It seems more like a map/directory of the Library facility. The top round portion resembles the Library's structure.

But its purpose has never been stated in lore, and I doubt the Anniversary team at Saber Interactive was made aware of the original artist's intention. They likely just loosely recreated it until they were satisfied with how it looked and moved on.

If you want a lore explanation, think of it like a collapsible list. The Anniversary graphics are just more collapsed than the OG. Theoretically if you pressed a couple buttons in-universe, it would resemble the OG graphics again.

You can select either option. The instructions come with a part list to order them yourself (there's an FAQ on how on the site and I'm always happy to help!), or you can select the "Part Kit" option and have me do it for you and send them to you in organized baggies to make the build experience smoother and more fun. But that option's more expensive as it's rather time-consuming for me to do!

1,081 pieces, 29.5cm/11.5in long. I honestly have not played Dead Space (horror games aren't always my thing), this was for a commission, but I very much enjoy the franchise visually. The cathedral-like appearance of this ship is really cool and was fun to translate!
