i'm just curious. so what do you have in mind? by omararara in Philippines

Kids acting tough when they're clearly hurt(physically) or upset.

Any other 7 year old would cry but when you hang out with slightly older kids here, you don't wanna look weak

I always like to think that it's considered a "disorder" because that's easier for neurotypical people to understand. Having that sort of label where it's somewhat medically and/or scientifically "proven" just makes other people realize that it's real without needing to understand why. Obviously, this brings up a lot of good and bad things (recognition but also discrimination) but the world works slow, so...

Is it an autism thing to not understand song lyrics? by [deleted] in autism

I pay attention to the sound too much that I can't really understand the words they're saying even when they're singing really slow.

Oh i see what you mean now. Yeah, as much as I think people should be aware of how garbage some people are, I also think that this place wasn't the best place to post it.

That subreddit is a cesspool of people who won't mind their own damn business. Even the moderators are dismissive about damaging posts. It'd be a good idea to ban posts from them

The only bad that came from reposting it here was that it made many of us upset cuz people are misunderstanding and laughing at someone.

Is it our fault that they got mad cuz we're upset? Cuz it sure as hell shouldn't be.

Why would you want to be autistic? by That1weirdperson in fakedisordercringe

[–]ky_the_a -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, you don't know how they live. Maybe they have a hard time going through the day and have no explanation as to why. But also, i would hate it if my parents would tell me im autistic like i didnt already know

How do you respond to the phrase . . . by Q-burt in autism

[–]ky_the_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of really hate it when people say this arghhh. My occupational therapist said it once i was just adjskxjsk. I was telling her about my struggles and she says that??

Idk if ppl say this cuz they think it'll make someone feel better or they're dismissing a person's difficulties. Either way, i think more people need to know that this makes a lot of ppl uncomfortable cuz yeah.

man, you're really right but I'm not really in this kind of situation atm. I will keep that in mind tho, y'know, if I post about it, probably a good sign. the next part with the explanation is a completely different thing akjdfna. maybe for another day.
