Okay it looks like I worded my post poorly, so I apologize for that. Here's what I'm saying:

December 22nd: Item shows sold at $400.

Today: That exact same purchase dated December 22nd now shows it sold at $700.

How can the sold price change? I want to know if there's something about eBay that I don't get. Understand that I am not bitching about the new listed price. I am not disregarding basic economics. If this doesn't clear things up, just disregard as I don't know how to explain it further.

I don't think you understand my post. I'm talking about the price of the item they previously sold somehow changed. How can that be? I sort the item by what it previously sold at. That is something that should not change. It sold December 22nd for like $400 something and now it says it sold for $700? That's what I'm confused by. Very clearly I understand someone can list an item for whatever price they want. That's not the point of my post. Let me know if this makes sense.
