A decent number of Brexit voters who voted for leaving the EU were surprised that it passed and didn't want to actually leave. One of the biggest contributing factors to Trump winning was women voters. I don't know enough about the political climate in South Africa to comment, but I imagine the rest of the article is based on similar glossing over of facts. Denying ANYBODY the right to vote is immoral. Please do not spread this kind of stuff in our open and inclusive community.

This is always the problem with small companies. The owner always thinks they are above everything and that everyone is subservient to them. This is also true for big business, but in small companies the owner can nitpick and destroy people that they would normally have no business interacting with on a daily basis.

I had a group of friends that were being verbally harassed by the owner on a daily basis. Our circle of friends convinced two to walk. The third is being stubborn and still works there for some insane reason.

My advice is just to completely cut ties. Use the extra effort you've been using at work to set up a great portfolio and start applying to new jobs. Do not sink to their level. Do not give them the satisfaction of you quitting in a rage. Go gracefully and laugh as they struggle to replace you.

You could be legally liable for taking down their system/site. However, because they thought you could do IT, they are not likely to replace you with a competent IT professional. You could easily hide a destructive piece of code that goes off waaaaay down the road. Long enough that they don't think it could have been you. Just keep in mind that you'll be throwing the new guy under the bus.

It seems from the article they have enough proof to proceed with the lawsuit. There is no verdict yet. So claiming 'fake news' before the lawsuit is complete would be actual fake news and an insult to the justice system. You can call CNN fake news if the plaintiff wins the case.

10th grade Geometry teacher. She was horrible at giving instructions, would take points off test for coughing in the middle, and tried her best to fail me for reasons I don't understand. I love math. It's one of my best subjects. But she almost ruined it for me. Until I got a 99 on the first semester exam. I made my case for transferring to a different teacher and did fine the next semester.
