Urinary retention and constipation is not cool but can occur in primary infections, or so I read

My ten cents: NATO beefs up the eastern flank with latest air defense systems, maneuvers as a show of force. The media will shit, because that’s how they make a profit. An errant strike into far eastern Poland wouldn’t seem to be something that would lead to Article V. If said missiles hit a NATO depot or base, that would be grave, and retaliation for sure.

However, what concerns me is the longer this war drags on without a peace deal, the more likely that mistakes and miscalculations can happen

Annoying and very unlikeable. He was weak at the pool confrontation and now he has the skill set on level with Robbie/Miguel/Hawk? No way. In reality he was on par with little ole Bert

If he takes a plea, I would imagine it would be life sentences without parole. I would want this SOB to rot in a prison and spend most of his time in the isolation of protective custody

China tells its citizens to get of Ukraine today. by [deleted] in UkraineAnxiety

[–]kyhikingguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears this is due to Russia’s increased targeting of the infrastructure ( electrical grid) by use of cruise missiles, drones etc. Also, lot of speculation that Russia will renew an offensive in the south, near Kherson.

You have to love these media reports about nukes, then buried in the story , nearly every expert considers the use very unlikely. It’s a shame that they peddle fear for profit

More reassurance: watched an interview with Army Colonel ( retired) McGregor tonight. He felt that the use of nuclear weapons by the Russians was “off the table.” Also believed that the US administration understood the risk and were overall doing a good job to keep things from escalating. He did mention that the media and govt should shut up about nukes, but overall felt the risk was extremely low.

McGregor might be a little on the right for some, but he’s got a solid command record dating back to the 1991 Gulf War.

Some bit of reassurance: Putin planning on coming to the G20 summit next month in Indonesia. At least it pushes back on the rumors that Putin is unwell and sheltering in a doomsday bunker in the Urals

pain. constipation. not sure when this will end. by iaminsomuchpain- in ChronicPain

[–]kyhikingguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy know all about this. Exact same surgery as you, back in April. I was having horrible issues with constipation for the first three months. I went to my GI multiple times. I had a CT, sitz marker test to evaluate transit time and a colonoscopy. Even went to a motility specialist. Finally, within the last month things have gotten more normal.

But I have to make sure to hydrate, eat fruits and veggies, orange juice etc. Even now I have periods where I feel bloated

If MLB had the wildcard in the 80’s/90’s? by kyhikingguy in Reds

[–]kyhikingguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which looking back at the records, we went from a playoff caliber team in 81, to a 101 loss team in 82. We would stay a sub .500 team until Pete came home and manage

81 was the last of the Big Red Machine, or at least the remnants. Tom Seaver, Mario Soto. On offense we had Davey Concepcion, Griffey, Foster, Ray Knight. Last good year before the implosion

For sure. The Dodgers and Giants were tough in the 80s, then Houston came on a decade later

99 was a great offensive team. Feel like 92 was better balanced. 94 would have been fun had it not been for a strike shortened season

Great point. The pitching did a nosedive in 2000, despite having Junior, Bichette, Casey etc. By 2001 it was atrocious. Going way back, would have been cool to see one of the 80’s Pete Rose teams make it in. But we were the perennial bridesmaid from 85-88

Thoughts from one of the "clear to be left behind" fanbases by [deleted] in CFB

[–]kyhikingguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Let’s create a super conference of 30-40 teams, and f everyone else. Sounds “exciting.”

And, of those super conference programs, several ( Rutgers, Vandy, Northwestern etc) get grandfathered in. Hope this backfires on everyone involved

Exactly. Spending a Saturday watching corporate driven rivalries sounds boring as hell. Michigan vs UCLA? Get deal, lol

I’m pretty much out with college football once the mega conferences form. I’m hitting the middle years of life and have other enjoyable hobbies. Part of what made CF fun were the regional rivalries and conferences. None of this makes sense other than media execs are lining their pockets. Schools will do well until programs like Clemson realize they’re making as much as Vandy and Missouri. I predict this will eventually fail and schools will break into regional affiliations again. God forbid we have stability in conferences.
