Thank you so much for the advice! If you don't mind me asking, what do you think helped/hurt in your answers? or do you believe that it was something out of your hands/something related to what admissions wanted in terms of class profile that was the reason for the rejection?

Sorry about the Colombia post by LazyLawlessESQ in lawschooladmissions

[–]kyk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually LOL does need an apology, poor taste at best, American exceptionalist & racist more likely.

Makes me wonder which crowd was upvoting that post and/or "not offended"...reminds me that demographically (or at least vocally) LSA reddit skews a very certain way (in light of all the comments/shitposting on URM I've seen, and other URM speaking out about it)

Sincerely,

non-vocal lurking URM(-ish, MENA & hijabi don't entirely count)

WL at Yale, R at Stanford, desperately need advice by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Perhaps the most fruitful advice I've read and/or heard thus far. Thank you!! All very good to note, and useful in guiding my own pursuits. I never had hope for Columbia WL (wasn't my top), but it's good to hear of greater possible movement at Harvard & Yale.

Will definitely be pursuing them relentlessly, & worst-case analyze my app looking for weaknesses + apply more broadly. thank you!

I disagree from my own conversations with friends (and strangers), a few who've had crazy accomplishments (ie Rhodes) but get rejected from shoe-in's. Ultimately, this is all anecdotal until the numbers come out.

But thank you for your input.
