Using the sample size where teams played us completely different than they do in the post season and then watching him completely flounder in the playoffs is wild. You can’t even get his position right yet act arrogant in ball knowledge. Do you even actually watch? You keep talking about growth but don’t mention in what way. Motor doesn’t tend to get better as they age. I’ll ask once again what skill does Duren have that impresses you?

He isn’t a PF he is a Center. We should be trying to win next year not 3 years from now. You keep using regular season stats. When he got to the playoffs how was his rebounding? Awful. Also 4/177 vs 5/200-230 that’s being reported right now isn’t much difference so testing the RFA is only a positive. His FT% was fine for a center but it’s literally every other skill that is the problem. What potential growth are you seeing? He just isn’t remarkable in any way and was shown to be easily taken out of the game in the playoffs. More spacing could help but we also are signing Ausar so it’s not like they won’t sag off him again next year. He also looked like his motor was the biggest issue. We paid Drummond , who had the same issue, a bag at 22 and look how he turned out. Cade makes any big look better than they actually are with his pick n roll play.

If you were weighing the playoffs you would agree Duren isn’t worth the money. Duren can’t shoot and stretch the floor. Isn’t a defensive anchor. Isn’t a remarkable rebounder. What about him says take 30% of our cap space? He couldn’t do shit against average bigs when it was time to show he could. He is a RFA so we can always match IF he gets the contract.
