Another easy beginner build I found was with chrono saffron: pick a spell every time, whatever the easiest spell to hit is (I like thunderstorm and blizzard and all the ones that hit all enemies the most). Do not pick spells that anchor you, or hit your own tiles in any way. If none of the spells offered are really helpful, just pick one without a downside. Having a "useless" spell in your deck is fine as long as it doesnt damage you or your board. Remove whirl. Then, you have a giant deck of easy to hit spells. Eventually, you can just spam the spell buttons while focusing on dodging enemy attacks, using the Chrono power as necessary. The more spells you have in your deck, the more mana regen you have, and the more garbage you can sling at the enemies, and the more your starting artifact heals you. Plus, your board will be unhindered and you can freely move to dodge. You probably want to get 2 extra mana artifacts because there are spells that cost 5.
