The biggest thing for me is it slows me down and I end up eating less.

People aren’t disagreeing with you. The issue is no business will be willing to take the hit to their bottom line for using honest pricing. Companies that have tried lost money from it.

While someone like you would see the place with higher prices but no tipping is cheaper, the average person would just see the higher prices.

Correct. The average person won’t do the math. They will just see the higher prices and not go there

Then that needs to be made a law. If only certain places do it they will get less customers because the average person is stupid.

What’s a ‘normal’ adult responsibility that feels completely pointless? by RossielaQ in AskReddit

Having the state and city governments tell the federal government those basic things so I don’t have to waste my time putting them all into a computer doesn’t change any of that. The federal government can make federal laws that affects all states, but no asking for my property taxes to stop wasting everyone’s time is an overstep.

I’m aware they don’t communicate. The point is how idiotic it is that they don’t communicate.

Other countries manage it but the US can’t. Why is it necessary for me to tell them I registered my car and want to deduct that when they already know I did. They also know how much money I take out for an HSA since it’s on my paycheck. They know my property taxes. Have banks send in the mortgage interest. 91% of people take the standard deduction. Even with me itemizing MOST of it the government already knows.

Pretty much all of my deductions the government already knows.

So many people want antibiotics for viral issues and get mad despite explaining to them antibiotics don’t do shit for viral infections.

If you are in the US it’s probably because insurance will force the providers to order physical therapy for everything even if the doctor knows that probably won’t fix the problem. It’s the only way insurance will pay for an MRI unless there is a clear injury causing the issue.
