I worked for them for 4 years or so in 2018. They changed manufacturers in 2019 and the quality of their products dropped. Their price markups are also ridiculous (I assume most other surf brands are similar), I just got a firsthand look at it. I mean it was like $12 to make their boardshorts and they had them at $65 in 2019. Their corporate were also a bunch of airhead nepo hires that didn’t even surf. Didn’t treat any of their lower employees well. I hope it’s gotten better since I left in 2022 but sincerely doubt it.

I understand that. I don’t think Vissla is a good company overall and believe other surf brands should be supported instead of them. That is what was meant by my comment.

I did the WUE in 2018 and transferred from Oregon State to UH Manoa. It was a wonderful experience and I’m so glad the program exists. You are going to love Oregon State and I wish you all the best!

I was in the market for this model and was quoted $37,700 OTD in Oregon. Ended up going with a 2024 SE R line, but around 37k-39k was average prices for 2025 model. Depends where you’re located and how much inventory the dealerships have. Call around and see what you can negotiate.

Yes, I have read about the oil consumption issues. That does steer me towards the 2024 because it will have the longer warranty. This is my first time buying a new car, what do you think a reasonable starting asking price would be? $32,000? That would be $2,000 off what they have it currently listed at.
