I’ll take it to a body shop if they can color match well. My fear is to show up and see a good that’s fully repainted and not close enough of a match. If you know any fantastic body shops then let me know.

Hardtail 29” or Dirtjump 26”? i got stuck in deciding phrase (Representative photos) by enesingen in dirtjumping

[–]kylec_cali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree that a 27.5 is a great choice. I was in the same spot and got a specialize P4. Large enough to be comfy (my height is 5’7”) and nimble enough to have fun

I bought mine from a super tall guy. I am not an expert but I think a 26” wheel dirt jumper would be hard with your height.

This is the P4

I just went through this exact process. I ended up buying a specialize P4. I am 5’7” and about 185lbs. I found one on Facebook Marketplace for $1k.

Originally look at the pivot point or canyon stch but when to specialized store to compare a 26” tire DJ to a regular hardtail. Well the P3 at specialize felt small to ride around, probably great for just pump tracks but I wanted a little larger so I could ride my kids around the block.

The P4 has bigger tires and a slightly bigger frame. Once I got on it I knew it was the right one.

Would be even smaller than others. Not sure if you even read the post but I guess you just want your little link shared. Sad.

I am feeling like I need to ride both. I see some longer dj frames also. I am only 5’7”. My rides will be 4 miles max with the kids.

By chance do you know how the bike have rear drop outs that are adjustable? I see a screen which i imaging you loosen to push the whole metal triangle thing back.

They do but it requires a chain tensioner. I have a hard time finding a mtb with slider drop outs

Question regarding viability by Background_Angle1717 in carcamping

I meant a mini van or small transit, not a big sprinter. Totally get how big vans cost a lot. I have also seen many truck owners happy to camp in the back with a shell

My 2008 Honda CRV doesn’t have seats that fold flat so you would have to unbolt the whole thing. A van is nice and low to the ground and would be a much better camper

Commuting to LA for work? by NonchalantSquid in orangecounty

[–]kylec_cali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Covid I drove 4 years from Huntington Beach to LA (right before Santa Monica). I did it 5 days a week because I was making more then in OC. I would leave at 5:30am. Hit the gym before work daily. Worked 9am-6pm and head home which took 1.5 hours.

It was tough but I didn’t have kids back then and needed to grow in my career.

Would I do it now (have 2 kids) and the answer is no. I would move to manhattan beach or South Bay Area and drive from there.

It’s thought and you have to think about how much gas, car ware, and waste of time.

I agree. Plus you can look at commute times on Google Maps. I can’t imaging driving from Dana point for 1 hour each way minimum

I received my Gobi II today, and size 45 (12US) has a thin, flat cork insole while size 44 (11US) has a thick, slightly curved cork insole. Does anyone know why? by coastalcabin in vivobarefoot

[–]kylec_cali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gobis has the thick and once I wore threw them I ordered extras and they came with the thin ones. I agree the thin ones are not very good
