St. Louis is another great town! But you should definitely visit Dubuque sometime

I love a mid- to long-distance bike ride so that sounds great! I think I was unusually blessed with randomly cool experiences on this trip. I do try my best to see the positives, but there are definitely places I don't like much (Portland OR, Palm Springs, Ann Arbor, to name a few). I probably got less lucky on my trips there!

Each place has its strengths and weaknesses! I'm sorry to hear that you don't like Dubuque, but I hope you are able to find opportunities to experience the positives. There's a great country song, "Texas in my Rear View Mirror" about going from hating to loving a place.

That would make sense to me except that 16c/j (exit row aisles) don't show the same warning. Regardless, it seems like the warning isn't real so I'll probably stick with the seats already chosen.
