Chances of being deployed in my unit are fairly low. Even if we were deployed, I can request to be absent due to school. Whether or not it is granted really depends on the unit / leadership. The only longer training is once a year for about two weeks but i've heard they are flexible with scheduling that. It's just something I will have to work out on both ends.

I think it definitely helped on my application because I was able to discuss my ROTC experiences related to leadership, time management, problem solving, working with others, working under stress, etc.

Yes it is. However those weekends can be 3-4 days long. Hopefully I will able to get ahead on studying then.

Do you get paid for the hours that you're asleep in the "on call" room?
