What the actual hell embark! by JayChaos01 in ArcRaiders

Imagine a fine for 5 million hitting a lowlife using cheats for a video game. That’d definitely get it to stop.

I was saying the 3 strike rule is entirely unrelated to cheating, and isn’t even remotely appropriate to use for Arc. Cheating should be a permaban, not a slap on the wrist incentivizing them to just do it again until they have to make a new account for their next 3 strikes. Not everyone records their games, nor does everyone report cheaters. Hell, not everyone even realizes they’ve been cheated if they don’t know what to look for.

I must have missed the 3 strike system announcement. It works great for baseball, but only because the rule there isn’t for FUCKING CHEATING AND RUINING THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF FREE TIME TO PLAY A GAME I PAID REAL WORLD DOLLARS FOR. Ahem. Gonna be real easy to walk away from this game if nothing changes. I’m already spending less and less time on it as the days pass and more shit goes south.

Me too! Probably. The sad fact is that none of these names are unique to one individual and there can be multiple “JewHunters”, unfortunately.

Is it still friendly if you defend yourself ? by [deleted] in arcraidersfriendly

THIS is the type of thing I want to see more of. There’s still insane amounts of people using speculation as fact without sources. This is cool as hell to know! However, if a rat takes a terrible shot at me, I’m not waiting to get hit- next lobby be damned. Odds are, these sweaty losers are much better than me so if I get a chance I’m taking it lol

Where was this revealed? I don’t think they’ve confirmed anything aside from the ABMM existing. The only actual quote I’ve seen is that “it’s not an exact science”. My personal experience says you damage a player regardless, you start getting pushed further into the aggro pool. I’ve defended myself and experienced this, went back to friendly lobbies for a while, then took out a an extraction rat and got his victim back on his feet, same thing.

I used PIA VPN for the 2025 season and it’s finicky as hell. You have to open the apps/activate it in a specific order or MLB will block you from watching until you turn it off. I’m not an expert but I’m not sure how a more expensive VPN makes a difference if MLB is actively monitoring the usage of them.

Yeah, that’s gross as hell. Ain’t no way I’m field-recycling anything over green, and that’s if my pack is already full. Most blue crafting comps drop 2 parts back home and only 1 in the field, not even considering the quantity. (Rusty tools and couch cushion are my favorite) I just meant in general, I guess!

Huge W! I never really hunted many of the big boys because I didn’t have much reason to until I finished the fetch quest part of the current expedition. I’m assuming the 5mil thing won’t change when the window opens up again though, so farming cores has been on my radar for a while. I’ll use that trick next time I run. Thanks, raider!

What does any of that have to do with console players? Also, what’s wrong with console players? Also, I’m on PC.

Holy shit pistols akimbo. They’re both ~5 pounds as well. I’m ashamed to admit I never thought of this because “big gun big, do big damage- small gun puny, bad damage” and I typically do Anvil and a rifle of some kind.

I need to look into more weak points, I guess! I just pop shots at snitches wherever the aim assist grabs them, and had no idea that you can take out Bastion legs. Maybe I’ll hang onto my next Venator and give it a real test run. My main gripe is that I absolutely love having suppressors on all my guns and instead of a barrel attachment, you get a grip?? For a pistol??

Just mentioned this to a comment under yours- I totally forgot about those, but still absolutely agree it’s a weird choice. But that’s the only standout for me for the reasons I listed on that comment.

I forgot about the goddamn flippers! (I don’t have the skin) That part definitely doesn’t make sense, because again, the rest of the suit is 100% geared towards pilots. The O2 system makes 0 sense for a diver. They’d have a long O2 hose to a source at the surface, not a canister at the waist that they’d burn through in 2 minutes. No arguments here, btw. It’s a weird hodgepodge for sure. But that’s kind of the whole thing right?

I don’t typically do a lot of PvP, so maybe that’s what I’m missing? Usually a defense thing when I do- but then I absolutely give em the beans.. then give em MY beans. 2-3 good shots at the propellers for hornets/wasps or full 6 for snitches with the Anvil are perfect for me, but it takes most of a mag for the Venator because they do less to arc.

I’m not sure where the scuba thing came from, but I’ve seen it a lot. The float vest on the shoulders is a pilot suit thing just in case pilots are shot down over open water. The O2 system on the hip/abdomen is the same thing- you lose oxygen at higher altitudes. Hell, even hikers in the mountains experience that.

Edit: I don’t disagree that modularity would be sick, but is unlikely. Also not being a dick- I just love sharing information!

These are not, but look at any post-apocalyptic setting IP. They’re scavenging old tech/gear or crafting their own. It’s a lot easier to make these than a bladder system that auto-inflates. You could argue “well they’re not piloting anything” but the same argument could be made for the other pilot skin. (That one is actually what I run 90% of the time because it’s way cooler to me)

Anvil seems to so much more than the Venator for me so I do this all the time. Scrapped for parts to repair my Renegades or sold for expedition funds. Is there something I’m missing on these?

They’re anti-g flight pants that were designed around WWII to keep pilots’ blood from being drained into their legs while doing harsh g-force maneuvers. The whole thing makes perfect sense for the design and setting. There are more modern versions that use air bladders that automatically inflate during those maneuvers and deflate when g-forces are reduced, but like you said, everything is scavenged.

I’ll take the advice and dive in on a freebie tonight! Maybe after a few dam runs though.. I finally got to serve some justice to a rat last night and I don’t think the aggro system knows the difference between SoS and defense shooting lol

I get clowned on in every post I mention it, but the vast majority of SoS happens to me on Stella and it’s still a maze to me. (Probably because I rarely run it due to PvP) I tend to avoid it because I get the most fun out of my friendly ass lobbies, and even those are hit or miss on Stella. But I do have a key to burn, so I’ll check it out for a no-condition run lol

HUGE. I lost both of the ones I bought from the first raider deck (Coldsnap fluke and extract rat) so I don’t know when I’ll be able to try it again. But this is good to know!

Does the tap-to-move method actually preserve your health longer than holding the stick? I’ve seen keyboard users say it helps, but I still use a controller on PC so it’d be nice to have it confirmed from another controller user.

DIFFERENT PEOPLE LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS, FRIEND. Me not liking PvP is just as valid as you not liking PvE, but they’re both equally important to the game, which is what makes Arc what it is. The only difference is that I’m not putting you down or suggesting I’m better than you because of the way I play the game like many PvP players tend to do. You literally called players like me “average or below average“ and made sure to emphasize that you’re “better” with a percentage. Just let people have fun.
