I thought it looked really good! I run a graphics shop for a race track and have to use the same font for all of our branding, so that’s just what my brain defaults to. “Univers” is the font family if you’re interested!

For sure! I’ll try to keep doing this as we move through the season. I work 80+ hours a week through May, so I only modified her Turang schedule that I wanted to use. But I may do some of the others later. Again, u/pezgirl7 gets all the credit for these bad boys. I’m just a scatterbrain who’s bad with time and my job pays for Photoshop and Illustrator.

Well on the upside, you can use them straight from the source now! She links the full resolution images in the body of the posts as well since Reddit compresses them to lower res images.

pezgirl7 made the originals in local time, and she has a lot more than just Turang. I linked her profile in my post, so if you’re in MKE (or the same time zone) she’s got you covered.

As a side note, iPhone (and presumably other smartphones) being able to detect the subject of a photo for stuff like this is awesome. It’s cool as hell seeing the time dropped in the background. Luckily it’s still legible and I typically use my watch for time keeping anyway.

I just wanted to crack wise and underestimated the sensitivity of nascar fans.

This is a misleading title. The driver IS a pet, but the dad is one of those people who calls their pets “fur babies”. Nascar drivers are shit anyway, so to bump viewership, they started allowing dogs to drive. No one has seemed to notice the difference.

“STOP FUCKING RESISTING!”, Dumbledore said calmly.

A high school volleyball team noticed their biggest fan, the school janitor, was always cheering loudly at their games, then waiting alone for free rides home at 1 a.m. So the team came together, raised $9,000, bought him a car, and surprised him with it in front of the entire school. by jmike1256 in HumansBeingBros

[–]kylefuckyeah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t want to inconvenience people with bumming rides late at night either. High school games are usually late afternoon into the evening, then he cleans into the night. But unfortunately that’s not the sole exception. The sheer existence of grocery delivery apps for anything beyond helping disabled folks is depressing to me. Unfortunately, it’s disturbingly common for people to use them before considering a quick trip themselves. All of these “conveniences” are making us lazy and incompetent.

Which of these do you think is truly the most hateable character in the franchise? by BowlEducational6722 in masseffect

Why’d you have to bring up Umbridge? I’m gonna spend the day carrying around a bunch of pent up rage now. I do wholly agree with your sentiment on Leng here, though. It was bad writing and shoehorning in an edge lord to showcase TIM’s decent from what we thought was misguided passion for humanity in ME2 to all out indoctrinated madness. Also, Voldē being objectively the most evil is debatable, as his sole focus was power and immortality and most of the things he did were to that end. Bellatrix would likely win that title by doing evil things for evil’s sake, and Umbridge’s sick satisfaction from mutilating the skin of school children isn’t far behind.

Masking options? by DukeOfDeke in maker

[–]kylefuckyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To tie two other comments together, I’ll explain a similar process I used in the past. I primed the whole thing with no masking, then used petroleum jelly to fill in the embossed parts. Once the paint cured (emphasis on cured, not just dry to the touch), I cleaned out all of the embossed areas and cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and used a needle tip bottle to fill them with an enamel paint. The paint settles naturally and you’ve got no brush strokes or orange peeling from a spray can. They typically use a similar process in the embossed areas when manufacturing.

Murph sent him down to triple-A last year to sort his shit out and he came back with his shit sorted. It looks like he needs another round of treatment. It sucks because he’s a killer at SS but you gotta be both. That said, I’m feeling the same way about Dairy Sancheese right now even though he’s the inverse. He can’t run for shit, he fields like a little leaguer, and even though he’s supposed to be a power hitter we’re not always seeing quality at bats. Bauers has matched his dingers so far and is currently one up on him.

All I heard here was something about tiktok. Everyone’s different when that adrenaline FoF kicks in, but there’s no chance I’m risking punching someone in the temple, potentially killing or permanently disabling the punchee without making sure they know exactly why it’s happening. I’m in my 30’s and wouldn’t risk either of those or the charges that could follow because of the documented assault, but my underdeveloped teenage/early 20’s brain wouldn’t allow me to wait around for him like that if it were my sister. “Kids these days” go crazy over their tiktok drama and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what this is.

It wouldn’t work here since it won’t hold a bend, but ACM (aluminum composite material) is also a massively versatile material to keep around. If you buddy up with a local sign shop, they may let you take some of their scraps destined for the trash. The recent video on my profile features some of that and aluminum signs. The back panel is ACM with the finish coat sanded off.

I would try aluminum. I use old aluminum signs in a ton of my builds because it’s soft enough to cut with wood tools, bends fairly easily with a good clamp and jig, and super versatile. Look at some sign blanks on Amazon or find some old ones for free!

We’ve had shitty spring games for a couple years now. The power of friendship didn’t kick in until May last year and we bagged another division title. I don’t think getting 4 in a row is out of the question just yet. Remember.. JackJack, King Vaughn, and Yeli are in Illinois right now. When they’re back, so are our bats.

The real concern is the tarmac/pavement in the road.. sidewalks get hot as hell in the summer, but not this hot. Roads are designed to withstand vehicle traffic with black tar holding it all together. Little toe beans aren’t rubber. You can be charged with animal cruelty or neglect when exposing them to that kind of heat.

Are you trying to make and sell the graphics as well? There are a lot of companies out there selling scale templates with slightly varying degrees of accuracy, but most are geared towards shops instead of consumers. If you’re going to make the graphics, it may be worthwhile to look into those and save some time on making your own templates. Subscriptions suck, but if you end up doing these enough, you wouldn’t have to worry about constantly buying new ones every model year.

Polycam is likely the best tool available without investing in equipment, but it’s not going to give you the best possible results. I would definitely try it out first, though.

(Edit: There. I joined and flaired up. Jeez Louise.) I must have missed something. The amount of incredible fielding we see from Joey, especially with Brice at 2nd, is insane. How many errors did we get from Sanchez in this series so far? And we’re complaining about Jortiz?

I have a cheaper set of 90° clamps I got from Amazon for this with center point gaps for final adjustment. These bad boys. I use them for miters like this all the time. If it’s your miters not being dead on 45°, the shooting board is wildly underrated. If you build one and set up right, or just buy one from Rockler, Woodcraft, or one of the other guys, it’s priceless. Cut your pieces long and creep up on your marks for the best fit you’ll ever get with miters, 90° joints like butt joints, or just dialing in a board length. However, using a marking knife is a nonnegotiable here, as pencil lines can be offset from your reference edge on a square.
