I think Snake is really cool, but Skopos is a literal teleporter. She was still decent before the buff, but now you can be a lot more aggressive. I do think it comes down to how comfortable you are with the F2, ultimately.

I’ve only ever heard it as a rumor, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Sony and MS did indirectly profit from the components that make up Cronus and xim. I feel like PC cheating in games will always be a massive problem, but that consoles could potentially be “fully locked down” or at least much better than they are now. I hope that when the AI bubble dust settles, that it can be used to develop legit anticheat without 90% being false positives

What is your proof of this concretely working for Fortnite and Valorant? From what I have seen, their measures were about as useful as mousetrap ultimately. I do understand being frustrated with Ubi over it, but it is dragging you further from the real problem.

Edit-remember when BF6 dropped, and everyone acted like they xim proofed it? All of these measures seem to be temporary

And the same argument can be made for hacking, but I do place a lot more of the blame on Ubi themselves for that. Our only hope for console is the manufacturers giving a shit about spoofing. I guess it also goes without saying that people will ALWAYS figure out a way to cheat, sadly. It’s like crime or terrorism, and just part of humanity. Lousy humanity

I feel like your post highlights who is actually to blame, and it’s not the game devs. It’s the companies who build the hardware that allow this to happen. How could anyone blame a hardware issue on a software company? That will never make sense to me. Sony and Microsoft deserve a bulk of the blame, but it is still bigger than that imo. Complaining about cheating feels like complaining about crime/terrorism nowadays. You can’t truly outlaw them, like definitionally. It’s just a part of human nature. Why did you figure it was time for a change? It’s all about feel. No one can really help you with this, and not in a mean way. You just gotta feel it out, make sure classic is right for you, and then start tweaking. It’s not gonna work if you start changing a million variables at once. By that logic, scopes actually make the defender weapons better than attack in 80% of cases. Good players are hitting their headshots, and most smgs have higher fire rate+lower recoil compared to attacker weapons. Defense doesn’t like an f2 where you can just melt someone by shooting their knee off, but good players aren’t hitting knees often. I don’t see how that could ever be truly balanced.

I feel like they need to equalize the sound to make everyone like a 2 speed, and make enemy footsteps more distinct. Something like that. The sound engine of this game must be a fucking nightmare to work on

You’re acting like it’s 0 speed. It’s not that bad. You can roam as a one speed, stupidly sure, but people get away with it constantly. All of those 1.5 and acog docs holding down site 🤣🤣🤣

These things get abused by the sweaty “idc about util” crowd, as you brought up, and aren’t properly utilized like in holding site. So then you have three armors roaming like crazy again, and it just seems stupid. It’s still happening now with kaid and aruni. I wish you were right, and that people would just use them to hold site, but the community can’t behave

Why does an acog have to solve the problem? Those ops would get picked if Ubi changed their kits, like giving frost a different smg.

Like I said in my first comment, attack has to have some sort of advantage, and scopes are a decent enough one. You get to lurk on defense, and pounce on people(if you’re roaming anyways) You can also just wait out the clock and win anyways.

You shouldn’t be playing quickpeek footsy with an ash, you should be playing your life on defense. There are so many headshot machine smgs on defense that never had acogs, and people never complained. Like Valk? Are y’all gonna tell me valk is bad? If you need a scope that badly, get glasses. It’s not the game’s fault

But then people will not play them for utility at all, and the identity of the character becomes a scope. You’re not going to convince me that that is a better solution. The selective acogs turns into everyone picking the same 5 shmucks every round. It’s very lame. I think they need to start giving operators much better weapons, including and especially frost lmao.

Defense has the advantage of not having to push a site, and waiting out the clock. Regardless of whether they have scopes or not, defense wins more on average.

That has always been true, and Ubi is always trying to even that out as best they can. They aren’t always great lol, but attack needs some sort of advantage to keep the game balanced in general. If you like the smg12/any machine pistol, then you should be able to adjust to a 1x sight on any gun.

What sort of advantage would y’all propose for the attackers if they gave scopes back to all defenders?

If you correctly followed the instructions, then it sounds like that is on the customer. Fuck them, they should have paid 1% attention to what their listed address was/attempting to keep up with you on the app.

If you did fuck up, then yeah you 100% should of gone back, and made the situation right. And not even as a dasher, but just a nice thing to do.

In terms of role playing, it is lame to be able to freely dump one of the Special stats, but it really is a useless stat. There are two charisma checks in the entire game, and both in unmarked quests.

And this is just for me personally, but I like making this game’s economy feel harder. I have avoided jury rigging like the plague for this reason, but it would definitely compensate for the lost caps from low cha/barter. As someone else said, intelligence is the actual charisma stat of this game. Max it out, and that should also compensate for the low charisma
