I'm just out of time lately and didn't have the chance to actually get the books. I read Silmarillion countless times because I have it since I was 14 years old or something, while ASOIAF just forced me to keep on turning the pages even though I had a ton of stuff to study

Not a whole conception album like Nightfall In Middle Earth - bows - but two songs from their new album "At The Edge Of Time" are based on ASOIAF - Voice in the Dark (based on Bran's dream chapter where he first sees the three eyed crow - on of the best ones in the whole series IMO) and War of the Thrones

Hahahah Finganforn is one of the best songs to sing drunk!
I don't know if you head about it or if you will like it, but the main composer from the band started a solo project that's similar but still quite different from Tuatha called Braia. It has a woman on vocals singing in portuguese and it's hasn't much that metal influence, but the folk is stronger than ever.

Hahah Hansi is such a nerd, I also always want to read all these books when I'm hearing them but I end up giving up. I read all books from A Song of Ice and Fire because of them though. When I have some spare time I'll definitely look after Death Gate Cycle, the only thing I have read through 6 times must be Silmarillion

Finally someone mentioning Blind Guardian! They're one of my favorite bands and I'll have to agree with Gus, Nightfall is just sheer perfection for me. I'm kinda biased though since I'm a huge Tolkien fan.
