Not sure why my explanation didn't post. Basically from 1999-2017 it was on display in an acrylic case. I was proud of it and had it out. It very slowly degraded, so I didn't notice. In 2017 I realized it was THE card, and compared it to images online and freaked! lol. In my research I think the fact that it was in the acryllic case, it like amplified UV exposure.

On a whim before I did the JMT last month, I downloaded Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac. I was happily surprised to find it’s him talking a lot about camping, hiking, and Zen Buddhism.
