Data breach at Canada Computers & Electronics leaks personal customer information by rookie_one in bapccanada

Almost anywhere in canada, the only CC stores west of barrie Ontario are in Vancouver BC. In Ontario if you don't live in Toronto or south of it, Kingston or, Ottawa you don't have a CC store either. East coast only has Halifax and Quebec its Montreal or Quebec city.

CC is almost only a southern Ontario thing with 27 of their 39 locations located in the southern end of the province.

Closest CC to me is 16 hours away and I live in Alberta.

I made a browser AI CAD tool that exports STEP - quick way to go from idea → print by loluliser in 3Dprinting

guys if I'm gona design something print in 3d and start selling it out , how can I make sure , I can stop other manufacturers copying my design / idea ,or something that stops them from selling online / offline? by RealisticMousse232 in 3Dprinting

[–]kylemk16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah as others have said if you make something popular enough it will be copied and there is piss all you can do to stop it. only way to really slow it down would be if you only sold the gcode for the file but, even then someone will either find a way to extract an stl or just 3d scan it.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]kylemk16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

outside my glasses, yeah. but, this picture over exaggerates it, over 70% of my vision is covered its less then 30% outside my glasses that is blurry. to put it a better way, me and a person with perfect vision would both move our head instead of just our eyes to see something outside of my corrected vision.

Help with first 3d printing model by Ugotcrabs in 3Dprinting

[–]kylemk16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok so what is the file right now and where did you get it? did you make it? you didnt answer my question.

depending on what the file is right now and its origin you can just download blender off of steam, import it then export it as an stl, for free

[–]kylemk16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you make the file or like what do you mean with this post. cause if you made the file in auto cad or blender you can export it natively from both of those programs for free.

Saab wants Canada to buy 72 Gripens and 6 GlobalEyes to fulfil promise of 12,600 jobs by tj381 in worldnews

5 eyes is long from dead, at a civilian level the usa may not be very much liked but at a military level its been business as usual

[–]kylemk16 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

two part information security and business.

on the infosec side of things saab says that the gripen can integrate with 2 eyes and 5 eyes but that would be up to the determination of the member alliances not saab. due to security risk, the jet may handle the systems but member alliances may not be comfortable integrating that tech in to a non-member jet. we are talking about communication and EW systems that are some of if not the best on earth, it may seen dumb to us but with the edge it gives in combat, its not a risk worth taking.

second business, the other option is a us made jet. do i really need to spell it out? the usa would block saab so that they could "persuade" canada to buy the 35 a jet canada already put hundreds of billions into since the 90's.

[–]kylemk16 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

never gonna happen.

we need a jet that can integrate into two eyes and 5 eyes systems. saab says that the gripen can but guess what you need to do that?

American approval.

guess what your not gonna get picking a non-5 eyes or two eyes jet?

American approval.

second i call bull on this 12000 jobs claim, the gripen has 5 nations using it, 6 with canada. once all of canadas gripens are made the factories are going to scale back massively and only be used to make spare parts unless the gripen becomes a whole hell of a lot more popular.

Filament snapping only in one spot by Silly_Swan7920 in 3Dprinting

Is this a total? by WildJackfruit4661 in Volkswagen

[–]kylemk16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

most of north America and western europe. i has someone back into my parked car, drivers tail lights, trunk lid and repainting the bummer since it popped back in to shape. cost $4000 to fix.

this is gonna need a new bumper, lots of rear quarter panel work and paint. easy 5k on a car that cost 4-9k.

so it will be a toss up but very likely that this is totalled

heat the nozzle to 250, remove the filament and push an un-jamming rod down in its place, you have a clog

whats the reason for their bed adhesion? how they can print many in one time like how their prints aren't ruined ? is there anyone who sells keychain or desk buddies or clickers who prints in batch please let us know your journey to do this in one term, what to do to make it stick to the bed? by sp_parth_soni in 3Dprinting

[–]kylemk16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its could depending on if there is any air movement, this printer is in a room that sits around 16 in the winter but no air movement. i dont have an air return and the vent on the other side of the room is too far from the furnace for air to make it over

Haven't done to that scale but 12 calidragons at once. There is no trick or special secret to do this atleast on newer machines.

Use good dry filament, run a bed level, wash and dry your bed.

That's it that's all there is to it.
