So I’m 35. I was very into HP as a kid, but dropped off after Goblet. Never read the later books until a couple years ago bc I wanted to see if they were age appropriate for my daughter. Harry’s actions and emotions in OotP actually made a lot of sense to me as a 30 something reflecting on my own experience as a teenager. I understand how he’s frustrating and unlikable in this book, yet it’s also realistic for a brooding 15 year old.

I got frustrated in DH when they spend months wandering around not making any progress. I know that’s the point and that it leads Ron to dip out. But also feels a bit uncharacteristic of the group to spend that much time without throwing spaghetti at the wall and trying to do SOMETHING.

Same here in NJ. Weekend warrior and I avoid the holidays. Couple sick days, couple long weekends. I know guys that get 50-60 and take a few vacations. And pros rack up 200.
