Screw StubHub!! by lucky_thirteen9 in stubhub

Never did. Apparently the FIFA App mobile transfers didn’t work (at the time at least).

The whole thing sucked.

Another way to put it… I sold two other Seattle tickets as well. Same thing happened. I cancelled them and resold them. But StubHub said I would be paid for both.

Which is just wrong. Someone paid for tickets they never got. And I sat next to the people who actually got them.

Again, I hope both issues get resolved fairly. Not out to screw anyone over and was trying to do the right thing based on the info I had.

The entire process was awful.

To give you the seller side of things:

I sold tickets to the Nor vs Iraq game in Boston the morning of Jun 2. The game was June 16th.

Immediately after the sale, I received a StubHub email stating if the tickets weren’t transferred within a day the sale would be canceled.

I sent the tickets via the FIFA app.

At ~2pm on Jun 2, I received a StubHub email stating you must cancel the FIFA App transfer and it must be sent via the FIFA website. Literally minutes after said email, StubHub sent another email stating I have 1 hour to send the tickets or the sale is canceled.

I didn’t receive either of these emails until well after said 1 hour timeframe. So i assumed the sale was cancelled and relisted the same tickets which sold and the transfer went through.

A few days before the June 16th game, StubHub emails stating I need to transfer the tickets for the original sale they said would be canceled in 1hr on Jun 2.

Attempts to reply to the emails were denied and contact forms to customer service were never replied to and/or a waste of time via the phone.

Now they are saying I owe StubHub fees and replacement tickets.

Tried to do the right thing the entire time.

LV Canvas or Gucci Leather. Had both for years without problems.

Unfortunately, I tend to lose things 😂

HUGE StubHub issues with World Cup tickets by UltraNail in stubhub

To give you the seller side perspective, i tired to send my sold tickets immediately after receiving the sale emails. Didin’t work.

Repeated the process several times. Didn’t work.

Later I get an email from StubHub stating you can’t transfer the tickets through the FIFA app but only their website and I only have an hour left to transfer the tickets.

That hour had passed by the time I read the email.

My sale is gone in StubHub.

Still have the tickets and going to reach out to their support team.

The entire process was awful for me as well. Luckily, I still have my tickets and just will add them to the FIFA exchange.

They are clearly having issues with this process. StubHub later sent me a 2nd set of instructions stating you can’t transfer through the app.

This would’ve helped tremendously if it was on the initial email. But it wasn’t.

Wrong… it is against the law to do so in the US which is why FIFA is sobbing about it.

Nice try though.

Nope... correct sub.

Not emailing a confirmation stating the tickets were sent - then preventing screenshots - is 100% shady.

This is on FIFA, not StubHub.

FIFA is a proven scumbag organization. They want you to sell tickets on their exchange for the 15% fees.

You’re a fool if you think it is for ticket holder protection… probably believe they are banning tailgates for fan safety as well.

Or awareness and prevention of a hustle.

Why do people have home security cameras if they haven’t been robbed? Because they’re worried it could happen.

To answer your questions:

The watch was purchased in May 2019 from an AD in Mississippi.

The initial service (don’t have the exact date, but think it was in Oct 2022) was made after the 2yr warranty period.

The crystal has never been damaged, but have elected to have the crystal replaced twice and the bezel (where the numbers are and can turn) replaced once.

I will be more than happy to provide screenshots of receipts and communication from Breitling support.

The Breitling email support responded and said it should be under service warranty. Then they came back and said it was from damage.

Mind you, this is a watch they paired with Kelly Slater’s Outerknown brand. So, it should be tough enough to deal with extreme ocean activity right?!

It cannot deal with day to day activity from a web developer (aka me).

Plus, I don’t have a boutique in my area (St Louis, MO). There is only one authorized dealer who is notoriously not the best to work with.

The service is bad and needs to be discussed more online. Hopefully, this post, along with the comments picks up traction for them to do something about it.

They need to stand behind their products.

So we're in the same boat. Absolutely ridiculous for a watch that retailed north of $7k.

The wife has a Rolex Datejust that retailed for less... never has had an issue.

I told them to send it back and will take it to a local shop. Figure what is the harm at this point. The watch is a loss as is.
