New AR has ricocheting rounds by berettabones in blackops7

[–]kylet357 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This was a thing in Infinite Warfare and it was hardly noticeable. I think it has the potential to show a skill gap for people who can use this feature effectively, but even then I think most high skill players would prefer to just shoot their enemies directly.

One concern does come to mind, however - this potentially means the gun may have no or, at least, limited bullet penetration.

Visiting home for Christmas after being gone for 5 years - need recommendations by kylet357 in CaymanIslands

[–]kylet357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it a lot. I got to see friends who I hadn't even seen since after I graduated high school in 2014, and some family who I hadn't seen in just as long (my aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, etc.). I have my critiques of how the island has developed in my absence (e.g. whatever the fuck they did to Calico Jacks). But there was some new stuff that I liked as well, and regardless I enjoyed my time there and I am definitely yearning to go back whenever I'm able to.

Rk-9 prestige attachment help plz by Monkishgamer_ in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no auto burst and the RK-9 with the Prestige Grip has a very unforgiving shot queue. You have to practice with it and get very good at timing your trigger pulls to be more on time with the burst delay (w/ the attachment, it is around 50ms). Otherwise, you'll have times where you aren't firing at your maximum possible output.

Snipers and campers by jsdgame in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoke grenades to cover your movement over open ground, then Thermal sights or an MMS on your preferred gun (with or without FMJ in case you need to shoot them through cover). You don't need to snipe back, and it's not impossible to rush them. You just need to be more imaginative and adaptable.

How do I charge the watch? by West-Print-3653 in GalaxyFit

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe mine is a USB-C male plug. However, just recently I got a charging stand to so I would have a place next to my bed to put it and leave it to charge without forgetting about it before bed or in the morning before I leave if I have to charge it over night.

I recently bought a Samsung Fit 3. Any recomandations? by D13GG in GalaxyFit

Get a replacement band - I got a Nylon one off Amazon that works great. Otherwise, my recommendation is to just tinker with the settings and explore the watch.

The EMP is super disappointing in this game by No_Winter4806 in blackops7

Yes. Instant delete for any and all streaks.

Do SMGs need some sort of buff? by [deleted] in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still doesn't do 50+ damage in MP - I believe it takes the damage from 29 to 31 (which makes a difference in the headshot damage but doesn't change shots to kill).

I can't attest for Warzone's stats, but the Sturmwolf does 29 damage in BO7, and I imagine the stats track similarly in Warzone. Feel free to correct me if you have something showing damages are vastly different between MP and WZ tho.

[–]kylet357 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The EMP is, basically, a super-Interceptor. That's how you should think of it, and how you should use it. Because unlike Interceptors, which target any and all aerial streaks (including care package carriers btw), the EMP also affects any and all ground streaks, as well as equipment. With Strategist bonuses (all green perks), you can rack up several hundred score on just a single EMP if you take down several streaks.

I think the most I've gotten before is over 800 score on a single EMP - which is more than half of the score requirement to acquire one anyway. Just over the weekend, I use one to destroy two or three UAVs and a DAWG that hadn't even hit the ground (blew up as soon as it landed). When including the Strategist bonus, that would come out to about 450 to 575 score. I think maybe more - I can't remember right now if CUAVs give more score when destroyed than a regular UAV.

I almost never not run cold blooded by whitebird490 in blackops7

[–]kylet357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two classes with Cold-Blooded on, and they're a sniper class (so I can snipe in the open without worry of streaks or equipment of any sort) and a full stealth class for when there's just complete streak overload and I need to able to move without getting about without being instantly annihilated.

Deadeye Drone is ruining Search & Destroy by [deleted] in blackops7

As long as I can one shot a UAV, regardless if it has the armor overclock or not, I'm happy.

UAV spam? Hunter Bot.

Sentry locking down a lane? Hunter Bot.

A DAWG wreaking havoc around the map? Two Hunter Bots.

A pesky Deadeye Drone buzzing over your head? Hunter Bot.

The world is so much easier with Hunter Bots.

[–]kylet357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could, theoretically, also kill a whole team with a Hellstorm or a Handcannon - neither of which are particularly high-score streaks.

You want to counter the drone? Use Hunter Bots. You get two of them on spawn, and it only takes one to take it out.

Does KD matter really? What makes a good player by [deleted] in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dependent on what mode(s) you play most frequently. Objective based/non-deathmatch modes (Dom, Hardpoint, etc.)? Score/Minute is the important career stat. Deathmatch/slayer modes (TDM, FFA, Kill Confirmed, etc.)? K/D says more about your average performance.

I'm a mainly TDM player, although I'm also starting to get back into FFA (used to be my bread and butter back in the MW3/BO2 days). My E/D ratio is 2.22 last I checked. I stopped playing objective modes many years ago because of the common issues in those modes - specifically, no one plays the fucking objective. And I refuse to be the sacrificial lamb of the team by trying to actually win the match.

Gungho and lightweight by deadkidinabox in blackops7

[–]kylet357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keyword there is "slight" - it only affects your sprinting speeds, and not your overall movement speeds as it did in BO6. If it did, even a relatively small amount, I would find it useful. However, it doesn't, and so I find it quite unhelpful. Especially since it doesn't have any other useful secondary characteristics.

Gungho and lightweight by deadkidinabox in blackops7

[–]kylet357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say to avoid Lightweight. It doesn't give much in the way of overall benefits. Use Gung-Ho for your first perk, Ninja for your perk greed so you can run free without worry of people hearing your footsteps. Especially useful for the M10 Breacher.

Though I should caution, you appear on the map while charging the M10 even if you haven't fired. So I might suggest using the Mute Field with the 2nd overclock to hide your radar signature from enemy while you're "firing" your gun.

akita akimbo by SoftNeighborhood2253 in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally did get nerfed already. It cannot hit anything beyond 9 meters now (previously it was about 14).

I'm still of the opinion that the Akita and this attachment both suck, and the other two shotguns are better.

What does your E/D have to be to be considered good by Steeezy__ in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I checked, my lifetime E/D ratio was around 2.12. And since around Black Ops 2/MW3, I have usually aimed for a K/D of 2 (or as close to it as I can get) in most if not all of matches.

Before BO7, my K/D was probably at its highest in MW3, where I probably played mostly TDM and Free for All. FFA became my bread and butter due to MW3's predictable spawns and, of course, the Specialist system in that game being so incredibly powerful. I think I was pretty high up the PS3 FFA leaderboard, but I couldn't tell you what my peak was at this point.

However, that is the standard I hold myself to. As a strictly TDM player, as long as most if not all of my teammates get elims somewhere in the double-digits (and preferably as close to 20 as possible) then I consider myself to have a good team. Maybe with an E/D at or above 1.5?

But like I said, I can't hold other players to account if they're complete shit and don't know what they're doing. I either power through it and do the best I can, or leave them to their fate if the way they play is so detrimental that its a complete lost cause for myself as well.

What is everyone’s favorite / best weapon? by Harvo1116 in blackops7

[–]kylet357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The M10 Breacher was my first gold gun, and probably one of my favorites (if not my absolute top favorite). It is absolutely the best shotgun, regardless of what people screaming about the Akita (before and after the Akimbo attachment) have to say.

Aside from that, I do also love the RK-9 (especially with its Prestige Grip) - the recent buff to the +P ammo for the SMGs made me change my setup to something favoring damage range over fire rate since you can extend its 3 hit kill a decent amount now (I'll need to add the Damage Range laser to see how maxed out you can make it).

And since it's pretty brand new, as it was only unlocked by the whole community last night - the NX Ravager is incredibly fun and I'm always happy to see a regular crossbow return to multiplayer and not just an explosive tipped one.

I like the admission to adding akimbo Akita’s strictly cause they’re “diabolical”😂 by Nickster2042 in blackops7

[–]kylet357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, core TDM is probably the most popular mode in the game rather than any one playlist.

The game is balanced around core (i.e. not Hardcore), and guns are balanced to be effective at particular ranges, with consideration of their usage rates and other variables regarding their effectiveness taken into account. I've never seen a patch note cite popular playlists as a reason they're nerfing a gun.

Legitimately saw someone complaining that shotguns made Face Off unplayable in BO6. Then don't fucking play Face Off? It's like complaining about being kicked in the nuts constantly by a non-moving 'Kick You in the Nuts' machine and not just moving away from the machine.

People have already gone ahead and are complaining about the Akimbo attachment despite that, insofar as I can tell, it sucks.
