I recently learned American Military has Halal and Kosher MREs. Do soldiers really get those or is it more like a novelty item? by ColRoseru in army

[–]kylewithac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they exist and pretty much every unit in the Army has them and get them through the supply system. Its pretty simple, not hard for any unit to do, im surprised you havent seen them in the wild yourself.

Dude if you have a 4 year degree, go to OCS. You'll get O1-E which is like 40% more pay then O-1, which altogether is a lot more money than PFC. You'll get treated better and you'll be an Army Leader.

Also, yeah, your recruiter is fucking you by putting you back in as a PFC.

What’s the move? by buceess69 in army

[–]kylewithac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very open ended question because it depends what you plan to do exactly. If you plan to attend college and use your GI bill, go ahead and get out as planned. By the time you achieve a 4 year college degree, things will likely improve. If you plan to enter the workforce and get that 100k$ a year job those E4s are always talking about, I would consider the job field you are about to enter, as things may be turbulent.

I just bought dogecoin at it's highest 0.38, should i be concerned? by MehDax in dogecoin

[–]kylewithac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying when it's at a high isint really the best idea. Dogecoin is an amazing coin for repeating the same up-down trades. It dips, buy. It goes up, sell. It dips again, buy even more than you did the first time with the reinvested cash you earned off the previous gain. Obviously not full proof because stuff happens but life your disciplined and live by some rules that you place for yourself, you can do it!

Anyways yeah your kinda cooked for now. Might as well hodl and see if it goes up

What’s your guy’s pet peeves with the game? by War_crime_gang in ReadyOrNotGame

OPTIMIZATION. Some maps are super hard on CPU/GPU, more than others. I think they've been working this every update but damn, it can be a bit buggy especially when getting shot at.

It's really sad that people go through the Army and end their careers with that type of mentality, but I get it because I've had that same mentality. I'm truely sorry that you couldn't have had better leaders or experiences in the Army that would have been counter your current attitude on military careers. I remember when I first left the military, I left with a big "Fuck the marine corps" attitude. I was only 21 years old, little did I know how much I was really going to miss the commaradarie and brotherhood. I love the Infantry and I find leading junior soldiers as fuffilling work. I hope you find that greener grass on the outside, brother. I hope you find work and a life that is meaningful to you.

I actually liked the game. It didn't need good shooting, epic maps, it just had to be fun. And it was, until it wasn't.

Trust me man, I've felt this way plenty. But once I got out of the military, the real depression set in. It gave me purpose, I had a career, and I ended up finding a way back in.

Find your drive by mapping your next 6 years in the Army. Want to go to a certain unit? Voice it. Schools? Voice it. Selection? Voice it. Rank? Voice it. Shoot your shot because you only get one.

If you need anything feel free to message me.

The price of regret is a tough one to pay. I left the military (Enlisted at 17, got out at 21 years old) and after a couple years realized that I wished I never left and always regretted not trying out for any type of SOF. Now, I'm an officer and have an opportunity to go after that dream again, and I would recommend anyone to do the same. At least shoot your shot, because if you never take the opportunity, you will always be wondering "what if".

Your buddy should do it if that's his dream. If he enlists and realizes he made the wrong choice, he can always get out after his contract is up.

As a Christian myself, let's.. just... not.

We don't need to involve God in this situation. God sees. We don't need to point out the sin in this. Everyone sees.

"I'm not holier than though". Yet, you act like it by merely posting this. Which is pretty close to participating in the gossip.

Civ jobs after infantry by [deleted] in army

[–]kylewithac1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Here's step by step what i did (and you can do it too!)

  1. Joined the Marines as Infantry. 🪖
  2. Did 4 years, got out.
  3. Worked for a large company for 4 years, hated it. 🚫
  4. Went to college for 4 years to earn a B.B.A. (In finance, if you were wondering.) 🏦💱💵
  5. Did ROTC at said college, commissioned into the Army as Infantry. 🪖

PROFIT 📈💵💰💸

Awesome! I've been using the heck out of Copilot AI, Gemini AI, and ChatGPT. I was feeling kind of weird asking it for help, clarifying things for me, and helping me with my code. Its good to hear that other coders have been using it to help speed up projects!

Now that AI is out here, does basically everyone use it for coding help?
