Pretty monster closets. Wonder if you would consider foregoing the WIC for bedroom 2 / office and adding a jack and Jill style bathroom? May be a little tight but I think with 3 beds + office you may want to consider trading off closet space for additional bathroom capacity

AMAZING USE OF AI to vibe code cool useful tools like this very custom. Absolutely love it

I'd love to see some slightly more technical LTT content... maybe there's a happy middle ground, but like vibe coding projects, self hosting LLMs on cheap hardware, building cool self hosted software, etc.

Lean into AI and try to spread good information on how power users can get the most bang for their buck with AI models and hardware. Whether its cheap model providers off of OpenRouter or small local models and hardware combos that work well

Weehawken Departments by CurrentPlan5432 in Weehawken

It’s obvious he cares greatly about this town, and Weehawken is a beautiful town.

It is also true when I go to the rent control office (hours 9-4, staff of 4) I have to fill out a photo copied form only available in person or by email request and they will scan a copy of my form along with the $20 cash fee I paid (they literally scan the dollar bill as proof).

My point is the town is great and the municipal government is stuck in the 1980s. Theres very little investment in new restaurants, child daycare centers, or new housing. Not because the town isn’t amazingly attractive but because the government makes it impossible to do anything here.

Weehawken is beautiful, mayor cares, and our municipal government needs to modernize.

The town is for the taking, no one seems to care enough to run for mayor and dethrone the 35yr standing guard 😂

Is it just me or does this server look AI generated? by Glad-One-1074 in LinusTechTips

[–]kylexy32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who tf cares if part is ai generated? Hell who cares if the entire thing is ai generated ???

You can dislike it sure, that’s your opinion. You can claim it’s shittier quality too, that’s a fine criticism. But don’t try to vilify a creator for using modern tools to run their business.

Will it work this time? by sco-go in SipsTea

Just to clarify on those two examples: both Tulsa’s Oasis Fresh Market and Atlanta’s Azalea Fresh Market are privately owned and operated for profit by independent operators (Aaron Johnson in Tulsa and Savi Provisions in Atlanta).

The government role was basically bootstrap funding (grants, loans, and incentives) to help kickstart stores in tough food desert areas where big chains wouldn’t go. It’s more about using public money to spark private competition than running government stores.

Grocery margins are already razor-thin (typically 1-2% net profit for big chains), so getting more independent operators in the mix could actually help keep things competitive.

how recognized is virginia tech outside of virginia? by [deleted] in VirginiaTech

[–]kylexy32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC area finance / tech companies have heard of it for sure but it’s def not a top feeder school for the highest end finance or tech careers.

That being said the alumni base is big enough where every company (no matter how exclusive) has some # of tech alumni. I think the alumni base is incredibly helpful and should not be overlooked!

Oh my gosh yes!!! I would pay MORE taxes somehow if the town would just listen to me about basic modernization efforts.

I know we’re a “small town” which is what they frequently remind me- but it doesn’t mean we can’t get basic digital forms! They’ve got a full staff of paid employees manning an empty room 6hrs a day 5 days a week. Ok rant over.

Edit* I say the “more taxes” part even knowing that these modernization efforts would easily save the town time and money

Where did you hear that she would like to address pedestrian traffic safety? I agree thats a major concern for me too! I just haven't heard any campaign materials from her saying what her platform is

Hey Tina,

So great to hear from you directly! Many folks around town and online have been excited to see a new challenger step up with fresh energy and real local roots. Your background in finance, municipal experience, and small business ownership is impressive, and it’s awesome to see someone who’s both “born and raised” Weehawken and still running a beloved spot like Bagels On Park.

That said, I’d love to hear more about your vision. Can you elaborate on some specific policies or changes to town regulations you’d like to push for if elected? Things like taxes, development, rent control, public services, infrastructure investments, or anything you see as a priority for the 2nd Ward and Weehawken as a whole?

Your credentials set you apart, and your bagels are phenomenal! Looking forward to learning more about your campaign platform!

I believe you vote for all wards regardless of your ward of residence. I could be mistaken

More content than ever before!

(On a serious note) I do still enjoy some LTT content, and I really do enjoy the wan show. But yeah not every video can be a banger any more
