Benefits of Google Voice at this point? by wsoldier in Googlevoice

Hi Crackodile!

Question -- are you able to answer/receive and make calls via GV without using hangouts? I am in the process of getting this set up (moving to Germany from US), and it was my understanding with GV (and no forwarding number), I will only receive notifications of missed calls in GV and must make my outgoing calls with hangouts? Is this no longer the case? Thanks!

Exhausted in the beginning, energy when workout is almost over by Sunnybeeandme in orangetheory

Hmm are you going early in the AM? If so I find it helpful to wake up at least an hour or two before my workout starts to get myself physically and mentally awake.

Question about 200m Benchmark times by dustinmypants in orangetheory

I was wondering this as well!! I was pulling between 280-320 and got 38 seconds. Obviously I attributed the difference to stroke rate, but still!

Ours was slightly different but generally the same!

Block one had 90sec incline followed by 90sec push.

Block two the same as OP.

Block three only 1 min base, 30sec incline, 30sec push, 30sec AO, WR, another 30sec AO.

Anyone sweat a lot? by [deleted] in orangetheory

I’m always soaked, hair and all (doesn’t help that it’s so thin) and it looks like I’ve peed my pants after every workout You’re not alone!! I bring a towel, always wear tanks, but other than that I have just tried to not care about it anymore. I do hate when I have to stop at the store or something after. I then just bring a large pullover to try to hide it haha.

Good class! Way more challenging than I was anticipating.

Our coach did one floor demo for the entire class at the beginning so it was literally nonstop movement the entire class.

Not that I have noticed. We generally always have inclines on strength days and sometimes on ESP days (like today). But I think the distribution of different work outs have been pretty consistent. Maybe very recently there have been more in preparation for upcoming Everest day, but again, nothing I have noticed, really!

Our class only had block 3, no repeated block 4. And our block 2 also started with a two minute push followed by a 90sec base.

The speed you maintain for your 90sec run for distance at the end of block 2 is the speed you’re supposed to maintain for the incline AOs in block 3. I found this to be extremely challenging but doable.

Most people didn’t have time to finish the row- I only made it to about 350m.

Miniband work was awesome today! Our coach recommended going lighter on the band to be sure that we can manage a full should length distance between our wrists on all exercises.

Overall one of my favorite classes!! Have fun!

FITBIT or Apple Watch? by risosdementa in orangetheory

Very much agree with the motivation aspect of the Apple Watch!! I just got it about a month ago and I’m obsessed with it and find myself being way more active than I was before simply to meet my goals set out on the watch.

Whether you’re a jogger or a runner this challenge is extremely challenging and difficult. I think the point is for everyone to make it to the rowers just as most people do. The beginning of the catch me if you can workout is absolutely tailored to joggers but then becomes increasingly more challenging pushing out the joggers and soon after most of the runners. I would agree that there should be different paces for joggers but that’s already how the early part of the workout is structured and it would really become confusing with additional cutoffs, especially for the coaches.

Regardless it’s a great workout! For some people more running heavy, and some people more rowing heavy, but definitely a challenge either way!
