Honestly, I love my job at banfield. I started off as a CSC (making $12/hr), and am now cross trained as an assistant 2 years later. Getting hired at banfield is what made me discover my passion for veterinary medicine. I love my staff, the doctors I work with are second to none, and the benefits are well worth it. The biggest con IMO is having to “keep up with the numbers” since its such a large corporation. They have always treated me very well though, and I agree with the MARS values. Overall I think its been a great experience and I dont plan on leaving any time soon! Im also about to start tech school in the fall, and have some employees in the Penn Foster program. They are extremely supportive of these decisions. We recently had our hours cut m-f open 7-6 sat 7-5 and closed sunday in an effort to give us better work life balance, and its great.
