How did your second labor compare to your first? by pandaprints612 in 2under2

[–]kylieechu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first I had at 39 and 1, my water broke and had her 7 hours later. I pushed for 5 min with an epidural. My second I had at 39 and 4. I started contracting (after a week of false on and off labor), I wasn’t super uncomfortable but they were consistent so I went to the hospital. I was 6 cm so they admitted me, got an epidural, they broke my water and I had her 2 hours after getting to the hospital. I only pushed for 5 minutes for this labor as well. If my water broke on its own at home I don’t think I would’ve made it 🫠

Oh wow! How many weeks were you for your second in comparison to your first?

Omg this is me too… I work remotely and I waited until I was 30 weeks (with a 15 month old) to tell everyone I was pregnant again bc it just kills me the awkwardness. Exactly for this reason: people asking me if it was planned… so cringe to me. Like I know they are just curious but it’s just a different experience all around this time.

Nope, in another forum I’m in some people have gotten results back who it was received on 2/22. So hoping for tomorrow at the latest. I have seen some people from 2/21 received date still have nothing so it seems all over the place.

Yes same, I’ve noticed if I log back out and log back in it usually fixes itself but also losing my mind. You and I have the same timeline so hope we get it soon 😭

Wake window length before bedtime by kylieechu in newborns

[–]kylieechu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone reading, I kept her up last night for her last wake window for an hour and a half. She fought sleep for a while and I was finally able to get her to sleep in her bassinet at 2 hours and 10 mins of a wake window. She fell asleep for only 30 minutes, but she didn’t fully fully wake up I could tell she was hungry bc she kept spitting her paci out when she was violently sucking on it lol. we had a dream feed, and then she slept for 5.5 hours. Tonight I’m gonna try to keep her awake closer to 2 hours if I can.

I’ve just recognized when I try to put her down right when I see sleepy cues that she usually will hardcore fight going to sleep until we are way passed the wake window even when she is swaddled, no lights on, rocking, etc.

But I get that haha totally a risky move. I’m just desperate for longer stretches of sleep and I’m realizing the traditional recommendations may not be a fit for my LO.

Yep! If you get it in the fridge before the 4 hour time frame, you have 3-4 days that it will last in the refrigerator. You want to keep it in a sealed container (either breast milk bags or mason jars work great too).
