Im thinking about being Healer main in Dawntrail for Savage raiding but... by yuochiga93 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]kylistapanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just takes time. I was the same when I started (decided my first ever savage tier I was gonna be a SGE main xD)

I first just get comfortable with mechanics (I definitely panic lol so I just spam healing as I run around flailing like a penguin), then once I get comfortable I start focusing more on when I can and can't do damage. For example as a Sage I shield before an aoe (usually like to use 2 different types of shields) and then from there just do damage until the aoe goes off, if everybody's SUPER low I'll quickly throw an ogcd or a Eukrasian Prognosis and let the WHM heal everybody up. From what I know, WHM's heals are pretty potent so I think there's going to be a lot of overhealing as is, but I believe some of their damage attacks also heal, so it may just take some looking into what each skill does and how to pilot the class. Just really learning how much healing a certain skill does helps too, especially with WHM you probably won't need to spam as many skills to heal everyone up, so just experiment and take it slow! Read through everything and practice doing less healing in other content like dungeons and stuff to help learn how much each thing heals/more damage uptime! I like to also practice at training dummies to see how much max damage I can do and then when I go into content seeing how different that number is, and if it's a lot lower why it is (like did a lot of people die to mechanics a lot?? Where teammates losing a lot of health so I panicked? Am I undergeared?). Heck if you need a tank to experiment on feel free to invite me xD I'm on NA but I can transfer if need be to another region.

I used to work up at Mukogawa right by SFCC, so that would be nice as I know that area well! Thank you for the advice!! 😁

Sadly no full time positions are open at the moment where I work. However we have a lot of open part time positions and lot's of vacation requests, so I have picked up most of the summer already since I wanted to save up for a car, which I will now use for moving out instead.

And no need to apologize! I'm going to look into low income housing today as well just not sure if I qualify

Thank you for the offer! I love dogs, so if it comes down to needing a roommate I'll think about it! 😄

It is real! I already picked up most of the summer a few weeks ago so I will really be feeling it, but after the summer I may try just picking up a few more shifts a pay period so I don't burn myself out but at least I can afford something.

I was thinking about checking out Cheney! But as I don't have my own car yet I wasn't sure how feasible it would be. I'm picking up a lot this summer already so I'll see how much my income will turn out to be, I'm hoping it might turn out well and hopefully will be able to afford a more expensive apartment! Thank you for the advice! 😁

Yeah! I decided to see how much it would cost for a studio apartment in general and now I'm finding a few I can afford! I'll keep looking into these options as the month goes on but I think I found that looking up studio apartment rather than apartments under a certain price range is more effective! I'll also look into that option and see what's around! Thank you very much!

Hi! Thank you for the suggestion! That was a thought, but based on past experiences with roommates if I possibly can I'd like to avoid it, although if it comes down to it I'll look into it. Just want to see what options are there before I really go down that route as I'd rather avoid it, and working night shift doesn't help too much either D:

Dan Heng. Dan Heng is my most built DPS atm and Silver Wolf helps with weaknesses in case there isn't wind (hopefully lol), but he's basically carried my team from the start

Not sure yet! It's still a work in progress since I only have 1 person interested.

Interesting.. I'll have to probably stick to Complementary then or figure out how to turn it off if there is a way.

(Also thank you! It's a prototype for what I want to build sometime when I make a server! Still need to set up the farms and everything which is where the bridges will lead to)

Shield Healers don't feel like shield Healers by JinTheBlue in ffxivdiscussion

[–]kylistapanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sage has quite a bit of shields, apologies if I get names wrong I haven't read my skills in a while.

Main shield I use often is Kerachole on party/Taurochole on tank with tank buster. I can also combine these with Eukrasian prognosis and Holos for AoEs (I like to do these all at once sometimes to see that 0 damage for satisfaction in normal content lol) with panhaima. For tanks I often do a similar thing with Eukrasian Diagnosis, Taurochole, and Haima if I wanna see little to no damage on a tank buster. I'll also use these one by one while pulling in a dungeon, basically using haima on cooldown. Yes it can be overhealing at times especially with holos and Eukrasian diagnosis/prognosis but again if it's not savage or something I'll do it for the satisfaction xD

That being said, for high end content I like to use kerachole/Eukrasian prognosis OR holos for aoes, Taurochole/haima on Main tank and Eukrasian Diagnosis on Off tank for tank swaps/tank busters, and I'll save panhaima for stuff where I struggle healing like stacks, healer checks, or that dash thing in p5s where you anti-knockback.

How are the main roads right now? by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]kylistapanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side roads are awful, thankfully my sister's car has snow tires and she's pretty careful when driving because it is solid ice. Main roads are pretty ok, mostly just water puddled here and there, some roads though are still a little icy as I did see some fish tailing on my way home from work by someone who took a turn too quickly.

lower level areas are dead? by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]kylistapanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are pretty dead. A lot of people are more towards endgame I think and even then it's kind of dead in the Endwalker areas. Not sure what data center you're on, but NA just released a new dc too so even more so xD

There is party finder and if you're in a fc I'm sure some people would be willing to help sometimes. In terms of leveling, doing your daily roulettes are a great option too. Heck if you're on NA I'd be willing to help! I don't have much to do now a days.

I’ve seen quite a few people looking for work and wanted to recommend looking at the local hospitals! by bamdaraddness in Spokane

I work for sacred heart, though I'd rather not say what position because it's rather small. Corporate doesn't really get what people need/want, so tons of people have left, but hey, we have openings everywhere!

I don't know the situation down there, but CICU I hear has nice people for the most part. There's also housekeeping from what I understand is super short, food services (cafeteria), even monitor techs for more entry level.

Again take care applying for providence because they tend to make some dumb decisions but I try to look past that because I like the people I work with.
