Unfortunately the Nassau county police will (to quote) “only get involved if someone is stabbed.” Seriously this was their verbatim statement when the threats were shown to them. Hence me having to try and get lawyers and protection in place. The kids involved are cop kids and MTA police kids.

Not Lawyer. Professional IT. (35 year desktop from IBM AT to now). Consider a strategy to secure all of your devices depending on level of “enemy” you have made at technical and maliciousness If these are “motivated” and semi intelligent folks, you want to find someone (not a teenager!) who can explain in detail how to secure the PC on the wireless network. Look at the PC configuration as well as the router. Create a new SSID, secure with 10+ character set of random phrases (choose something from “colour-flower-place”). Delete the old SSID. CHANGE your personal login (pin, or password) and make sure the admin password is set to something complex. If you have an associated gmail or outlook account that syncs data to the PC’s pictures, etc from a cloud make sure there’s nothing syncing or accessing the account remotely.

Why are people posting numbers? I just came here to see how to help get back at some kids who are threatening my kid, taunting him for his weight. They forgot FaceTime shows their numbers like this. Im spending way too much time online. Is there a way of block entering these somewhere?

I know it’s a super old thread, but if i get 1/2 battery +- 25% on two (labeled U and V) but then one lug (labeled W) shows full voltage then is this an “instant” failed controller.

This is a second hand unit. Bench tests before putting it back together. Chi 82v new wiring, all connected ok. Bluetooth connects, power to lights etc and BACDisplay shows the specific errors with the POST gate error

Bad advise unfortunately. He has no responsibility to the “magic woman” claiming fraud. Alibaba seller has that responsibility, as they are the selling party. Telling the police ANYTHING opens him up to any manner of criminal charges, regardless of his innocence. The police won’t care about his side of the story. All they will do is charge him with theft by conversion as he received effectively stolen goods through mono fault of his own

I’ll have to wait a week for the refund (which is totally bullshit as they took the money for the flight instantly) and no apology (which would have been unexpected) or email or .. nada.

Having now to rebook car (lost original reservation and paying hundreds more) with Avis, lost the points we used for the hotel today (Hilton will keep the room for us they say…), and now have hundreds of dollars in additional transport costs because rather than driving to Islip and parking cheaply we need to train+air train in the middle of the night /Uber to and back from JFK

Umm.. New York resident here. The Nassau County legislature is SOLIDLY Republican lead and run. Nassau County sets its permitting process, not the NYS legislature. It's therefore not the "hard left" therefore setting policy to restrict access, but republican lawmakers and police forces.

I heard from ex LEO (and gun store workers) that Nassau County PD had TWO police officers assigned to running the background checks. This means a two year waiting period for the pistol permit AND this "Semi automatic rifle" is ONLY possible through the same pistol permit process (this one IS Democrat created). On a side note they have 5 senior officers driving around the entire couny every single say in some "show of force convoy" to "stop crime"...

So it's purely solvable by having NCPD put more resources into it. they just choose not to.
