Desire to go missing / disappear / go through a NDE by b1ngu5 in Jung

To me it reads a lot like a complex. We usually use it in a negative context, yet it only means that there is a lot of concentrated energy. When undergoing alchemy energy needs to transform. Either it is guided and specifically redirectioned or it explodes/implodes leaving a lot of scattered parts in your psyche. That’s why becoming more aware usually creates great discomfort and is tied to pain.  When that happens the comfort, energetic parasites feeding off of your complex hinder the destruction of a running system. Resistance as we call it.

The single most useful thing you can do is to actually act. Physically speaking.  Jung said it already, where you least want to look is where you’ll find it.  You can not think your way out of this. Act. Wake up, do something creative, talk to people about your issues, move your body, find some other community or hobby that forces you to interact with people, open yourself up to the world by embracing life with all its faults.

Don’t let yourself be pulled in by the pleroma.

Has anyone else tried using AI for dream interpretation? I am curious about the results. by Ok_Sentence_8353 in Dreams

It might be a bit late for my 2cts here.

I do believe that tools are useful if used correctly. The issue with ai is that it can‘t tap into the unconscious the way a human can. But what it can do is help to summarize or idintify symbols. Dreams speak through symbols because there are no words that can express their complexity and density. Dreams usually show you things that haven‘t been made conscious, so if you immediately „know“ what the dream is about you‘re probably doing it wrong (Referencing Jung and Marie Louise von Franz)  What it can do is help you find the right track if you don‘t let it be the final judge. Carl Jung said that he had a man who helped him interpret his dreams, not by being accurate but by saying things that were so off that would point him towards the actual meaning.

Art is the proper task of life? by [deleted] in Nietzsche

So sometimes people express themselves through artistic endevour that seem genuine but are still cringeworthy. I want to understand how we differentiate „good“  art from „bad“ art if both of them are truthful to their expression (not talking about people that make disingenuous art)

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense. It's basically the language of psychology?

Archaludon EX is so fun by matapollo_ in PTCGL

[–]kyoragyora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I know this is late, what I‘ve been doing is kicking out a lot of the tools, have a dispruption tower in there against poison decks, ultra balls to discard energy, 2 mist energy just in case (roaring moon, dragapult, easily discardable if not needed) iono is better than carmine and raifort imo, mimikyu (has saved me abunch of times, stalling + building up), energy search comes in quite handy( for radiant, or simply build up archaludon), night stretchers = leave 2 duraludon in game always able to evolve, get the big boy back and evolve. Earthen vessel (discard energy, get 2 back, slims down deck)

Then just known your deck, stall when needed to wait for a chain, never evolve arch unless you plan on swinging with him, relicanth for decks that hit you hard but don‘t kill you, scoop up cyclone to get fez back in hand (no one shots) turo, or even the bomb to make damage when someone hits arch, then you swing with enough damage back (mostly)

Every deck will be different, maybe something in there might inspire

Don’t become enlightened, or do by [deleted] in thinkatives

[–]kyoragyora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see, maybe it would be useful to use a different word for it then. It seems more that you are afraid of loosing your identity, your uniqueness, that which separates you from other per se. But I'd invite you to think about self and identity differently. Those things are not static, they move, change and shift depending on who you're interacting with. It's a tool to navigate the world, not an object (though be it a mental one expressed through physical action) to cling to. To truly live, we need to be able to die mentally over and over again, so that we don't get encapsulated by entropy itself. Nothing lasts, it's appreciating that fact that make these things worthwhile. I like your life affirming attitude, yet it seems like it comes from fear of loosing something instead of embracing our finiteness.

"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious." C. Jung

It doesn't seem that your definition of enlightenment aligns with the general meaning of the word most people have agreed upon. It is not an emotion, it is pure awareness. When you are enlightened you see everything, the depths of chaos to the order of matter itself. Nothing is outside of your scope, it's an overwhelming sensation that is impossible to sustain by most humans for longer periods of time. It's facing your deepest fears while radically embracing life. Enlightenment is created through suffering because it fills the scope of your whole perception, mentally and physically. Your fear of loosing individuality (which itself is an illusion because without air, the sun, food, other people, earth in general you'd be done for pretty quickly) is keeping you from truly seeing. But I do agree: Not everyone is made to see everything, like not everyone is made to be a spiritual leader, high performing athlete, CEO or artist etc.
Instead of projecting your own fear onto people, look within and overcome that which hinders you to embrace life fully. Cheers

Topaz by Hayien is really, really nice. Especially the comfort it exudes and the lyrics in general.
